воспитывать интерес к школе и изучению школьных предметов,

формировать умение работать в группе и в парах,

развивать умение понимать речь на слух,

развивать способность к обобщению, память, внимание, мышление и языковую догадку при помощи средств родного и английского языков;

I. Приветствие .

T: Good morning, children. I’m glad to see you. Sit down and let’s start our lesson.

Please, answer my questions:

II . Определение целей и задач урока.

T: Let’s watch the video to guess the topic of our lesson. ( This video contains four short extracts from different lessons).

You’re right. The topic of our lesson is “School subjects ”. We are going to revise words and collocations in order to develop your vocabulary and listening skills and talk about your school subjects.

T: I think it’s time to discuss the subjects you like and dislike. On the blackboard you can see some phrases to help you develop your answers. I’ll give you two paper faces – a happy face and an unhappy face. In your group you should decide what subject or subjects you like and what subject or subjects you don’t like and why. Then one student of your group goes to the blackboard, pins faces and explains your choice.

What do you think, what theme of the lesson do we have today? Yes you are right. Today we will talk about school subjects and school supplies.

2. Activity 1 (D, W, I, f) Ex. 1, p.5

Who can read these words? If necessary, the teacher corrects mistakes in pronunciation. Then the students read the words for their partner. Look at the photos of the children. Who can name the subject? I ask you to use the opening words. I think, in my opinion, I have no doubt.

3.Activity 2 Speaking (W, P, f ) Ex.2, p.5

-Tell your partner about your school subjects. Use the beginning of the sentences as shown in Exercise 2 on page 5.

4.Activity 3 Work in copy book

-During 3 minutes, try to find as much as possible the name of the school subjects. What are the words you found?

Students glue a card in a copy book and trace the names of objects. Then 1-2 students read them aloud.

5.Activity 4 (W, I )

-On these sheets you can find out the names of school supplies. Read them for each other.

-What words did you know?

-What words were new to you?

Pupils name words. Then the teacher offers to play.

- I take one card and make a guess, you have to guess it.

Than student, who correctly called the word, goes out and takes a card. The rest of the disciples call the words.

6.Activity 5 (P, I, f )

The teacher gives the cards for the dialogue. Pupils arrange the cards in a logical order and read aloud. Then the teacher proposes to write this dialogue in the copy book.

A-What is your favourite school subject?

B-There are two of them: History and English. What about you?

A-You'll be amazed, but I like Maths most of all.

B-Oh, I don't like Maths. All these formulas and definitions don't make sense for me. I always mix them up.

A-Well, I can say the same about English. I can never distinguish Past Simple Tense from Present Perfect and I don't understand how people can.
