Цель урока : обучение учащихся предъявлять полученные знания в различных видах речевой деятельности в рамках коммуникативной ситуации

· совершенствовать навыки восприятия и понимания речи на слух;

· расширять общеобразовательный кругозор, обогащать речевой и личностный опыт.

· способствовать развитию навыков монологической речи;

· содействовать развитию логического и наглядно-образного мышления, памяти и языковой догадки.

· способствовать формированию здорового образа жизни;

· способствовать формированию культуры речевого поведения.

Оснащение: компьютер, телевизор, презентация в Power Point , раздаточный материал ( карточки с изображением элементов здорового образа жизни, фотографии с изображением действующих лиц из текста по чтению и аудио текста, карточки с заданиями), учебник Английский язык 9 класс. Л.М. Лапицкая, 2018г.

1 Введение в атмосферу иноязычного общения. Создание доброжелательной атмосферы, способствующей дальнейшему сотрудничеству и последующему общению, целеполагание.

Учитель приветствует учащихся и создаёт деловую рабочую атмосферу. Teacher : Good afternoon! I am glad to see you. I hope you are fine today. An I right? Student: Vasilisa, how are you today? And you Vera , how are you today? (учащиеся отвечают на вопрос учителя). T : Nice !

T: Look at the blackboard. What do you see on it? Guess what we are going to talk about. (На доске записано предложение – We will talk about … . Учащиеся выражают свои предположения, глядя на доску с рисунками-фотографиями. ) S: Food, sport\physical fitness , good sleep, water, positive emotions, hobbies, long-livers, addictions. T: You are absolutely right. But I am not a teacher today. I am a TV presenter and you are the participants of the programme “Your steps to a healthy lifestyle” ( На слайде появляется название программы).

T: I have seen and spoken to many people who live and promote a healthy lifestyle. I want to share my experience with you and I want you to share your knowledge and ideas about a healthy lifestyle. So you are not just listeners – you are active participants of our programme. And at the end of the programme you will learn more tips about a healthy way of life: about being sporty, relaxed, energetic, happy. You will be able to give recommendations to your friends, parents, classmates, teachers on how to be healthy and positive.

2 Актуализация знаний по пройденному материалу (активизация лексических единиц по теме).

T : If you look at the photo ( a photo of a 100-year-old woman) you will tell me who you see. S: This is a long-liver. T: You are right. Tell me please who is a long –liver? S: A long-liver is a person who lives long\ A long-liver is a person who lives 80,90,100 years old. T: It’s true. Do you know any long-livers? S: Yes. T: Who is it? S: It is Paul Bragg ( открывается 2 й слад ). T: Tell me please is he well-known in many countries? S: Yes, he is very popular in many countries. T: Why is he well-known? (Учащиеся называют факты из биографии Пола Брегга, опираясь на материал текста, который учащиеся готовили в качестве домашнего задания к уроку – с 80, упр.4а). S :

-He is health food advocate, he is a bodybuilder.

-He was an athlete. He jogged, played tennis, climbed mountains, swam a lot.

-He paid much attention to healthy food (organic food), drinking water, juicing, exercising (fitness).

-He believed that humans could live to 120 by living a healthy life.

-He wrote many books about a healthy lifestyle.

-He was 95 when he died.

-At his 80-90 he had good teeth, healthy hair, good vision and hearing.

-He said that people should not eat too much and too little because it would be dangerous for health.

-He recommended to eat fewer eggs, little sugar, salt, fatty meats.

T: I am so impressed. You know a lot of facts about Paul Bragg and his way of life.

3 Совершенствование навыков восприятия и понимания речи на слух. Учитель готовит учащихся к восприятию дополнительного материала и создаёт условия для его восприятия.

T: Are there many people who live to 90 or 100? S: Yes, there are many long-livers in the world. T: You are right. There a lot of people in the world who live a long life. One of them is Mr. Cansler. I have received an audio-letter from him where he shares his secrets of a longer life. You can see his photo on the screen ( слайд 3). Guess how old is he? Does he smoke? Did he live a healthy life in his childhood? Is he a happy person ? (Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы учителя про главного героя аудио-письма, высказывая свои предположения).

T: You will hear some new words. Look at the blackboard and guess the meaning of them:

- a pipe: people use this thing to smoke, they put tobacco inside and burn it. Some people smoke cigarettes, others smoke a pipe.

- hardships: problems, trouble, difficult periods in people’s lives

- attitude to: your opinion, point of view, a way of thinking about something or somebody.

T : You have some questions. Read them aloud and get ready to answer them after listening. ( Учащиеся по очереди читают вопросы на карточках ). T: While listening to the letter you can take some notes in your papers. ( Текст аудиописьма представлен в приложении. 4 Физкультминутка.

T: As we see it is very important to follow a healthy lifestyle at any age, whether you are a child, a teenager, an adult. It is important to find time for fun, laugh and relaxation. ( Раздаётся стук в дверь. В кабинет заходит учитель йоги, приветствует всех и представляется). The teacher of yoga: Good afternoon! My name is Miss Shavan. I am a teacher of yoga. I know that today you are talking about a healthy lifestyle. I am sure you know many ways how to be healthy. One of them is relaxation. It helps us feel good and avoid tense. I offer you to join me and relax. Look at me and follow me ( открывается слайд 4, включается музыка . Музыкальный трек дан в приложении ). The teacher of yoga: “Relax. forget your problems…., forget stress …, close your eyes…., you feel better…., you feel relaxed…, think about happy moments of your life……” (Звучит расслабляющая музыка и все участники повторяют движения, которые показывает учитель йоги). The teacher of yoga : «Thanks a lot. It was nice. I hope you have relaxed and reenergized. I wish you be active, healthy and think positively”. T: “ Oh thanks a lot Miss Shavan. Please,have a seat and join us.”

5 Развитие навыков монологической речи.

T : Our dear guest wished us to be healthy and think positive. Why is it important to think positive ? (Учащиеся отвечают на вопрос учителя, высказывая своё мнение).

T: Right you are. Positive thinking is one of the ways to prolong life and be healthy. What else do you know about a healthy lifestyle. Share your knowledge and ideas . The pictures on the blackboard may help you . (Students talk about dangerous addictions, drinking habits, hobbies and favourite activities, positive thinking, food, physical fitness, good sleep.) Students: Food Healthy eating is very important for people. If you eat healthy products you feel good, look good, you become energetic. You should eat 2-3 portions of vegetables and fruit every day. They contain vitamins, minerals, useful substances. You should eat meat, chicken, fish. You shouldn’t eat a lot of sweets, chocolate, cakes because it is bad for health: it causes obesity and problems with skin. You should eat 5-6 times a day to feel good and be active during a day.

You shouldn’t eat unhealthy food, for example fast food. Many people like it because it is fast, cheap and convenient. BUT it is very dangerous for health. Fast food consists of artificial colours, flavourings, preservatives. It has a lot of calories. It causes obesity and health problems. It is made from cheap ingredients and has a lot of fats. It doesn’t provide any benefits.

Physical fitness

Sport or physical fitness is important for people. It gives energy, helps you keep fit, forget daily stress and be active. Physical fitness makes your muscles flexible. If you don’t like sport you can walk around the city or go to the park and spend time in the fresh air. Physical activities make us full of beans.

Good sleep is important for people. It helps people re-energize. People should sleep 8 hours a day. You should go to bed at 9 -10 o’clock. You shouldn’t eat , use a telephone, watch horror films before going to bed. You should open the window in the room to make the air cool. Good sleep helps people be awaken and attentive at school, at work. Good sleep helps you concentrate on work and studies. If you sleep 4-5 hours a day you feel sleepy and tired.

Dangerous addiction – smoking.

Smoking is a dangerous addiction. Cigarette smoke has many chemicals for example nicotine, acetone. Smoking kills a lot of people. Active smokers breathe in over 4.000 chemicals. Non –smokers suffer a lot because they breathe in dangerous smoke and feel bad. Smoking causes health problems: bronchitis, heart diseases, problems with lungs, headaches. Smoking destroys the immune system.

Drinking habits.

If you want to feel good you should drink 2 litres of fresh water every day. Fresh water keeps you awaken and attentive during a day. It helps you reenergize. Drinking water helps you avoid headaches. I recommend to drink mineral water, juice, green tea. You shouldn’t drink coffee because it has caffeine and causes problems with heart. You shouldn’t drink cola, pepsi, fanta because they destroy our body. You shouldn’t drink alcohol because it destroys our health.

Hobbies \ interests \ favourite activities

If you want to feel good and be happy you should do what you love: jog, swim, ride a bike, play tennis, walk with your friends, family members, your pets, take up a hobby – reading, painting, collecting things. It helps you forget daily problems and relax.

Positive thinking

Positive thinking is a good way to prolong life because positive emotions make people happy. If you think positively other people become happier because they want to communicate with you and spend time with you. You should smile, laugh a lot. It makes your relaxed and joyful.

6 Актуализация грамматического материала .

T: You have mentioned so many tips how to be healthy. And you have spoken a lot about food. Oh , I am so hungry . And you ? (Учащиеся отвечают на вопрос учителя). S: Yes, I am hungry. T: Let’s talk a bit about healthy and junk food . May be it will help us forget about hunger, at least for a while. Here you are to use degrees of comparison. Let’s recollect the rule all together. Look at the screen and answer my questions: What is healthier – a lemon or pizza? ( слайд 6) What vegetable is the best for you? ( слайд 7) Which dish is more nutritious – fish or a cake? ( слайд 8)

T: You are experts in living a healthy life! And you know much about a healthy lifestyle. I think that you can share your knowledge and experience with other people. I have 2 letters from 2 teenagers. One of them is Mark. He writes about his problems with health and asks for your advice on how to be healthy. The second letter is from Helen. She asks for advice on a healthy menu for a day. You have a choice; whether to share everything you know with Mark or share your knowledge about healthy food with Helen ( слайд 10). ( Учащиеся выбирают письма в печатном варианте – либо письмо Марка , либо письмо Хелен - и записывают домашнее задание в дневники. Письма представлены в приложении. После этого учитель объявляет оценки, комментируя их).

My name is Max. I am from Manchester. I am writing to you to ask for advice on how to be healthy and feel good.

I am a student in high school. I am not the top pupil in the class but I try to do my best to keep up with my classmates. My teachers give us a lot of homework every day that is why I am busy with my studies till 1 a.m. I sleep 5 hours a day and get up at 6 a. m. as my lessons start at 8.00. I never go to my school on foot. I always take a bus. It is easier and quicker. I have 7 classes every day which is really hard for me.

Our lunch break is from 12 to 13.30 – it is the only way to have a snack and relax a bit. My eating habits are quite OK: I prefer sandwiches with fanta or pepsi, hot-dogs. But my favourite snack is pizza with ham and sausages. I am crazy about it and I have it 4-5 times a week. I hate vegetables. My mum always gives me cucumbers and tomatoes to school but I always bring them home. After my lunch break I usually feel relaxed but sleepy and inactive. And I don’t know what to do. I can’t concentrate on my studies that is why I am inattentive and get a lot of bad marks.

I have 2 days off and I try to spend them at home playing my favourite video games. I think I am addicted to my computer but I can’t help playing on it. This addiction prevents me from doing my homework properly. Please, give me advice on how to get rid of my computer addiction, how to be energetic, active and more productive.

- I’m glad that you are all fine!

Some people are healthy, some people are unhealthy. The English people say: “Health is the best wealth”. They are right! We can’t buy health, but we can do a lot to keep it.

By the way, what do people do to be healthy?

- They go in for sports.

- They eat healthy food.

- They lead a regular way of life.

- They spend much time outdoors.

- They keep to a diet.

- They consult the doctor to prevent illness, etc.

Some people believe that the number thirteen brings bad luck. But instead, today, the number thirteen is going to bring you health!

Healthy habit number one: eat breakfast every morning. Eating breakfast can help people feel better through the day. And, children who eat breakfast usually do better at school! A good breakfast includes fruits, vegetables, and grains.

Healthy habit number two: eat fish. The American Health Association suggests eating fish two times each week.

Healthy habit number three: sleep enough. Poor sleep quality can affect our memory and learning. Experts advise getting at least seven hours of sleep a night.

Healthy habit number four: make social connections. Spending time with other people can also improve help. An active mind is a healthy mind!

Healthy habit number five: exercise. Exercise is very important for good health. It helps control a person’s body weight. Exercising also helps grow healthy muscles, bones, and joints. It reduces the risk of high blood pressure and diabetes. Exercising reduces the risk of death from heart diseases. Exercise helps people to think and move better. It helps manage stress, improves emotions, and gives people lots of energy!

Healthy habit number six: care for your teeth. Research shows that taking care of your teeth can add over six years to your life! So remember to wash, brush and clean between your teeth!

Healthy habit number seven: have a hobby. A hobby is something that you enjoy doing. It could be running, reading or making something with your hands. Hobbies help people to relax and rest. Hobbies bring us joy.

Healthy habit number eight: protect your skin. The sun produces ultraviolet, or UV rays. These rays can harm our skin.

Healthy habit number nine: eat healthy between meals. Eating between meals is called snacking. Many people snack on unhealthy foods - foods that are high in sugar, salt or fat. Fruits and vegetables are a better choice. Remember an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Healthy habit number ten: drink water. Our bodies are made of mostly water. In fact, our bodies are sixty to seventy percent water! Water helps our bodies work right. Water helps to clear our bodies of harmful waste materials. Eight glasses of water a day does a body good!

Healthy habit number eleven: drink tea.

Healthy habit number twelve: take a walk every day.

Healthy habit number thirteen: have a plan. So, the best way to be healthy is to make a plan.

Are you getting the vitamins you need? People get vitamins from the food they eat. There are a lot of vitamins in fruit and vegetables. But you can hardly find any useful vitamins in coke, chips and other fast food. Vitamins: A, B, C, D, E.

Vitamin A – is in green and yellow vegetables, milk and eggs. It’s necessary for seeing in the dark.

Vitamin B - is in meat, porridge and bread. B is responsible for the nervous system. Lack of this vitamin leads to serious illnesses and even death.

Vitamin C - is important for bones and teeth. It helps to prevent cold.

Vitamin D - is in milk and eggs. People can also get it from sunlight. It makes our bones strong.

It is in the wheat and nuts. Vitamin E - is necessary for skin and body.

8. Smoking is also harmful to our health, isn’t it? Let’s speak about it. Team: "Bad habits"

Name bad habits and give reasons why we shouldn’t follow them. Facts about Smoking. Over 90% of all smokers start before they are 18. The average age for a new smoker is 13. Among the 13-year-old smokers there are more girls than boys. Smoking kills about 3 million people every year. Your teeth will turn yellow. You will have bad breath. Your hair and skin will become dry. You’ll get premature wrinkles. Smoking causes bronchitis, asthma and emphysema. Cigarette smoke clogs and makes lungs awfully dirty. Nicotine is as addictive as heroin or cocaine. Seven out of 10 smokers want to quit, but can’t.

Drinking alcohol. Drinking habits vary. Some people don’t drink alcohol at all, just soft drinks like fruit juice. They are called teetotalers. Others like to sip a glass of wine slowly, just to be tipsy. Others like to drink glass after glass of beer, or possibly spirits such as whisky, brandy or vodka. Soon they become drunk and if they continue, they’ll wake up the next morning with a bad hangover. Some people are dependant on alcohol. They can’t do without it. They are alcoholics. One thing is certain. If you drive, you shouldn’t drink. Stay sober.

The next problem is drugs. Who wants to decide upon this problem? Taking drugs. Addiction to drugs is becoming more and more common every day. Drugs among the young people is a problem which affects the whole society and future generations. Drugs destroy billions of lives every year. An estimated 208 million people internationally consume illegal drugs. You probably know someone who has been affected by drugs, directly or indirectly. Drugs may seem like innocent fun but I have seen first hand how they can destroy lives. I know a lot of teenagers probably experiment but hopefully they realize the dangers and stop there. To live.

I go out and run about my house twenty times. Then I get hungry and have breakfast. I have a big glass of orange juice and then a cup of tea. At about one I have my lunch. For lunch I eat a lot of vegetables: cabbage, carrots, peas, fresh cucumbers, a piece of rye bread and a cup of tea without sugar, of course. Sometimes I don’t have any lunch but it is not healthy at all. It happens when I am busy in the city. I don’t like to have meals in public places. I sometimes have dinner in the evening when I am hungry or when I have guests at home. I don’t like to receive guests because we usually eat a lot of meat and fish and other heavy things which don’t help you to be fit. My motto is “eat to live, but not live to eat.”
