On the board there are some letters. I show one by one, pupils need name the letters.

А теперь сыграем в веселую игру: когда услышите звук [d] в слове, вы должны хлопнуть 1 раз в ладоши. А если звук [t], хлопните 2 раза в ладоши.
I name the words, pupils clap.

Words for the game: train, dog, duck, parrot, hamster, cat, kite, robot, doll.

Revision colours: white, blue, red, green, yellow

I show pictures and ask: “What colour is it?”. Pupils name the colour

Урок английского языка в 5 классе

Цель: Совершенствовать коммуникативную компетенцию учащихся.

Образовательная: повторение изученных ЛЕ и введение новых слов – названий домашних животных

Развивающая: Развивать навыки аудирования и монологической речи.

Воспитательная: -- воспитывать любовь к животным, экологическую культуру в целом; прививать любовь и интерес к иностранному языку;

1. Организационный момент и приветствие

Good morning, boys and girls! Glad to see you! Sit down, please! I hope you are ready to work hard at our lesson. Let’s begin our lesson. My name is Lyaisan Kurbangalievna and What is your name? I`m 35 and How old are you? I`m from Mayak and where are you from?

Now I suggest you to watch a video “Pets” and tell me the theme of our lesson.

What’s the theme of our lesson? Of course, as you guess today we will talk about animals. We’ll also make the reports. I believe the lesson will be interesting for you and we’ll enjoy it.

2. Фонетическая зарядка

At first, we must repeat some sounds to speak about animals. [ ]- cat, Hat, bad, mad

-Where are you going to, my little cat?
-I'm going to town, to buy a hat.
-What? A hat for a cat? A cat in a hat?
-Who ever saw a cat in a hat?

3. Речевая зарядка

Now let’s repeat the names of animals. What animals do you know? and play the game “Snowball”. (cat, dog, snake, frog, cow, horse, monkey, mouse, fox, bear, zebra, crocodile)

You know a lot of animals, I see.

How do we call the animals which live with people in their houses? (Pets). Today we have a new topic “ Our pets” Pets play a very important role in our life. Many people like to keep them. There are usual pets to keep at home

Tell me please, who has pets at home? I see almost everybody. Does anybody know how we can call them in English? Ok, listen and repeat after the speaker then.

Kitten, puppy, budgie, rabbit, goldfish, hamster, guinea pig, parrot, rat, canary.

Open your books, page 7, exercise 6. Look at the pictures of those pets and read their names one by one.

Perfect.. And now answer my questions. What is it?
What colour is the parrot in the picture?

What does your cat eat?
now, make your own sentences use this words.

You are wonderful children. It’s very good that you know so much about animals, that you have got pets at home and take care of them. Don`t forget that animals and birds are our friends! And we must take care of them! I give you excellent marks for all of you.

Ask the pupils to put their crayons or coloured pencils on their desks. Say a colour at random and ask them to point to the corresponding crayon/coloured pencil. Vary the rhythm and speed of the instructions to make the activity like a game.

e.g. Teacher: (Show me) pink!

Class: (holds up the pink crayon/coloured pencil) etc

Point to each animal (tortoise, parrot and spider), one at a time, and present them. Then point to each animal in random order.

Listen and colour. Then say

Ask the pupils to take out their red, yellow and green coloured pencils. Explain the activity. The pupils listen and colour in the traffic lights. Play the CD, twice if necessary. The pupils listen and complete the activity. Check their answers. Red, yellow, green. The pupils then work in pairs. They ask and answer about the colour of the traffic lights. Demonstrate this yourself first. Point to number one and ask: What colour is it? Elict: Red. Say : Red! Stop! Follow the same procedure for numbers 2- 3. Allow the pairs some time to ask and answer the questions. Check round the classroom, providing any necessary help. Ask some pairs to report back to the class.

Play the CD. The pupils listen to the song.
