Reading in my life

Reading plays a very important role in the life of people. It educates a person, enriches his intellect. Books help to mould a person's character, from his moral values. Besides, books bring pleasure and delight. It's a wonderful way of spending spare time. Sometimes we read the same book again and again. Thanks to books we learn to express our thoughts and feelings more exactly. The book is faithful and understanding friend. It can be put aside and taken up again at any moment. There are books which have been our favorites since childhood. People are fond of reading different kinds of books. Some people enjoy reading detective stories, adventure stories, novels, biographies, other prefer classics. Fairy tales are enjoyed and read by children, books about adventures and journeys are enjoyed by those who are fond of travelling. Legends and myths are read by those who are fond of history. Some people developed much time to reading books and reading becomes their free time occupation, their passion. Through out the centuries books had an enormous influence on the minds and hearts of people. Books bind together ages, personalities. Thanks to books we can talk to people who lived in different countries and ages. Through reading books we hear their voices, thoughts and feelings. The book is the surest way to bring nations together. It helps people achieve understanding, trust, cooperation and friendship. Books awaken the young reader's imagination. They develop literary taste, arouse interest and curiosity, the reader's laugher as well as his tears. They teach the readers to be truthful, friendly, honest decisive, conscientious, frank, firm, fair and serious. A Treasure Home of information. Libraries play an important part in the cultural development of people. People like reading, they have a desire learn they seek a knowledge. Books sat this desire. There are a lot of books in our country, in our flats. But it is difficult to buy all the books which we want to read. That is why we get books in public libraries. Books shouldn't be read only by pleasure. Reading books helps us in our education. We can fond all kinds of books in the libraries. Books offer romance history adventure, autobiographers science fiction and humor in the form of shot stories and novels, poetry, prose and plays as well as reference books, encyclopaedias, dictionaries and so on. In some libraries we can find books in many foreign languages. When a reader comes to a library for the first time he feels in library card and the librarian helps to chose something to read. The reader is allowed to borrow books for a certain number of days. The catalogues help the reader to find the books and not damage them in any way. We should not make notes in library books or dog's ears in the pages. The reading rooms in the public libraries are open to all who wish to work there. Bender books we can get periodical newspapers files and magazines to read there. Readers come to the reading rooms to study and prepare materials for their reports or for their scientific work. Every school in our country has a library. A school library is a collection of textbooks and books for reading. Our pupils and teachers go for reading, to look some magazines or newspapers or to prepare for a report. Sometimes teachers prepare for the lessons at our school library.

I am a very curious person. I like everything new, I like to study and learn different facts, watch movies I have never seen and communicate with people. But the biggest passion I have is reading books. If you ask me which books I like to read, I have no answer for you. I think every genre is interesting, every genre has particular style and structure. And because all people have different preferences and mood, I can say that I am crazy about reading in general.

Now I like to read psychological books. Sometime I need to reread is twice or three times to understand. But when I got it, I learn something new for myself. Maybe in future I will chose a profession of psychologist or teacher.

I read almost everyday. My perfect day is when I have no school and other things to do, but sit at home or in the park with a book. I can stay like this few hours. Then time pasts very fast to me. Honestly I prefer reading to any movie. Reading helps me to develop my imagination, to practice my skills of shorthand, to learn and memorize new words and phrases.

It was not always so. When I was a child I didn’t like reading. Maybe because my grandad had a huge library at home and he was pushing me to read every day. Another thing is that I didn’t read well. Honestly I was the worth in my class. One summer our teacher gave us a list of books to read and we had a problem to find all these books in the central library. But likely my grandad had all of them at home. My classmates came to me often and actually they were so jealous that I have all these books right here. So this is the way how I made many friends and often we used to read together. My reading was becoming better and one day I realized that I can not live without it. I finished to read the books from my teacher’s list very fast but didn’t stop. Soon I have got favorire genres and writers. And I can tell you if you want to spend your time with use or spend money with benefit, get one book and enjoy reading.

Я очень любопытный человек по натуре. Мне нравится все новое, я люблю учиться и узнавать новые факты, смотреть фильмы, которых раньше не видела и общаться с людьми. Но самой моей большой страстью является чтение. Если вы спросите меня, какие книги я люблю, у меня не будет ответа. Я думаю, что каждый жанр имеет определённый стиль и структуру. А так как у каждого человека свои предпочтения и настроение, я скажу, что мне нравится читать вообще.

Сейчас мне нравится читать психологическую литературу. Порой мне нужно перечитать книгу дважды или трижды, чтобы уловить суть и смысл. Но когда я понимаю, я узнаю что-то новое для себя. Может, в будущем я выберу профессию психолога или учителя. Я читаю почти каждый день. Мой идеальный день наступает, когда не нужно идти в школу и нет других дел, а только сидеть дома или в парке с книгой. Я могу просидеть так несколько часов. Так время летит для меня незаметно. Чтение помогает мне развивать воображение, практиковать навыки скорочтения, учить и запоминать новые слова и выражения.

Но так было не всегда. Когда я была ребёнком, я не любила читать. Может, потому что у дедушки была огромная библиотека дома и он заставлял меня читать каждый день. А может, потому что я не умела читать. Честно говоря, я была худшей в классе. Однажды летом учительница дала нам список книг на каникулы, но не все книги были в центральной библиотеке. Но к счастью, у моего дедушки были все книги в его коллекции. Мои одноклассники часто приходили ко мне и даже завидовали, что все эти книги у меня перед носом. Вот так я завела друзей и мы часто читали вместе. Мое чтение становилось лучше и я уже не могла жить без него. Я прочла все книги из списка быстро и уже не могла остановиться. Вскоре у меня появился любимый жанр и писатели. И я уверяю вас, если вы хотите провести время с пользой или потратить деньги на что-то нужное, приобретите книгу и наслаждайтесь чтением.
