The Person I Admire

Everyone has a person he or she admires. It can be a member of the family, a celebrity, a famous writer or an actor. There can be different reasons why we admire this or that person. We can admire their will power, some traits of character or style. We can have the same preferences in the outlook on life. Actually, there are many such reasons and they can vary.

У каждого есть человек, которым он восхищается. Он может быть членом семьи, знаменитостью, известным писателем или актером. Могут быть разные причины, по которым мы восхищаемся тем или иным человеком. Мы можем восхищаться их силой воли, некоторыми чертами характера или стилем. У нас могут быть одинаковые взгляды на жизнь. На самом деле существует много таких причин, и они могут различаться.

The person I really admire is Hayao Miyazaki. He is a Japanese film director and animator. Actually, he is a very famous person all over the world. People of all ages like his animation works. Some of them can be a bit difficult for understanding but the more you watch them and the more you know some facts about Hayao Miyazaki, the clearer they become for understanding.

Perhaps, all his works reflect his outlook on life. When he was a child he liked aircrafts, Actually, he always likes them so we can see them almost in all his works. The main theme of his works is humanism and relationships between the mankind and the nature. I really appreciate it. There are no pronounced villains in his animation works. All characters have their own points of view and motivation.

Why do I admire Hayao Miyazaki? I like his animation works and find them very interesting. I admire him as an artist. But what is more important is that I respect his outlook on life.

I think that the word “famous’ has a wide meaning. If you ask me if I want to be a star or a celebrity, I will definitely say – no. Of course pop stars enjoy a luxurious style of life. They earn vast sums of money and spend their holidays in exotic countries. They are transported in their chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royces. Wherever they go , people turn out in their thousands to greet them. The crowds go wild trying to catch a brief glimpse of their smiling colorfully dressed idols. So it may be dangerous for them to make unscheduled appearances in public. They must be constantly shielded from the adoring crowds which idolize them. That’s why they are always surrounded by a group of body-guards They are no longer private individuals but public property . Practically every even of their private life is a sensation and is widely discussed in the Mass Media. Sometimes these “real life” stories don’t seem to contain a grain of truth.

I think that people who envy the success and rewards of others should remember that the most famous stars represent only the tip of the iceberg. For every famous star , there are hundreds of others who struggle to earn their living. And a man who attempts to become a star is taking enormous risks. He knows that only a handful of competitors ever get to the very top and that years of concentrated effort may be rewarded with complete failure.

Personally I wouldn’t like my private life to be the centre of everybody’s attention. But the word “famous” has a different meaning. You can be a famous teacher, a famous surgeon and what not. You can be famous for your character and your deeds….I think every person should be famous in the field of his career. I mean to become a highly educated specialist useful for the progress of the society he lives in….

It’s a fact that every person on the planet desires to be successful. However, what does it mean? To begin with, to be successful means you can go back into time and be completely satisfied with all the things you’ve achieved and done, without any regret. One of the main peculiarity of success is to have a goal, which you should reach no matter what you'll have to face. For example, some people would like to create a stable family environment and a harmony in their homes. Others tend to get a profitable job and wallow in money. Furthermore, it's believed that if you want to gain success you only need talent. However, some people reckon that hard work can compensate the lack of it.

In my humble opinion, talent as well as hard work is very important, because of some reasons, presented further. First of all, if you’re not gifted or endowed with necessary skills you won't be able to become a profound specialist in the certain area or field of the modern world. But at the same time, you have to be a hard-working and industrious individual to have an opportunity to improve yourself. Secondly, it seems to me, that these two things are inseparably linked with each other. You know, they are like sufficient parts of the whole system.

Nonetheless, a talent alone won't be enough to become a successful human. According to some people's point of view, if a person is talented, they don't have to do all their best to achieve something, 'cause that's not urgent. I disagree with this idea. Without hard work, for each moment of triumph in your life, your skills won’t improve at all. It's better not to take your talent for granted because there's nothing without something.

Во–первых, быть успешным означает, что вы можете взглянуть на прошлое и при этом полностью быть удовлетворенным всем, чего вы добились и сделали, без каких–либо сожалений. Одна из главных особенностей успеха — достижение цели, которую вы должны достичь независимо от того, с чем вам придется столкнуться. Например, некоторые люди хотели бы создать благополучную семью и гармонию в своем доме. Другие, стремятся получить высокооплачиваемую работу и купаться в деньгах. Кроме того, считается, что если вы хотите добиться успеха, вам нужен только талант. Однако некоторые люди полагают, что усердная работа может компенсировать его отсутствие.

По моему скромному мнению, талант как и усердная работа очень важны исходя из некоторых причин, представленных далее. Прежде всего, если у вас нет выдающихся талантов или вы не обладаете необходимыми навыками, то вы не сможете стать видным специалистом в определенной области или сфере современного мира. Но в то же время вы должны быть трудолюбивым и прилежным человеком, чтобы иметь возможность самосовершенствоваться. Во–вторых, мне кажется, что эти две вещи неразрывно связаны. Знаете, они как важные составляющие целостной системы.

Тем не менее, чтобы стать успешным человеком, одного только таланта недостаточно. По мнению некоторых людей, если человек талантлив, ему не нужно стараться, чтобы чего–то добиться, потому что это неважно. Я не согласен с этой идеей. Без усердной работы за каждый момент триумфа в вашей жизни ваши навыки не улучшатся совсем. Лучше не принимать свой талант как само собой разумеющееся, потому что просто так ничего не бывает.

Being a famous celebrity has become a hot topic for debate in recent years. Some people claim that fame leads a well-known person to difficulties and stress, while others hold an opposite view.

In my opinion, being a popular celebrity is truly exhausting and demanding. Firstly, most of the celebrities do not have an ordinary social life because of the photographers and press, who want to sell personal information or pictures of them. Secondly, they always need to watch what they say or do. People can misunderstand their world or actions, which leads to losing success in the industry and bad reputation.

However, some people believe that being a famous celebrity is not that difficult and stressful nowadays. In their view, famous people have more opportunities and benefits than the average person and they should be grateful for that.

Celebrities can afford luxury life and solve all types of problems, unlike other people. In addition, a lot of people want to be like them, or even look like them. They do plastic surgeries and I am sure nobody wants a copy of themselves.

Personally, I do not agree with the above opinion. I am convinced that well-known people are the same as all other people and have feelings and emotions, too. Their privacy life should be respected despite their amount of money or social ties. They have a right to spend their free time how they want, to speak with the press or not, to allow taking a photo or not.

In conclusion, although there are different opinions on this problem, I still believe that being a famous celebrity is exacting and can bring a lot of problems for people because famous people have a lot of obsessed fans that want to know everything about them Celebrities are followed everywhere, they can not have a normal life, for example, simply have dinner with their family like all of us. That is why we should respect their free time, interests and relationships.
