What the weather like today?

[W] Revision of the numbers from 1 to 10

Learners revise numbers from 1 to 2 0 watching video about numbers.

Start up activity:

[W] Look at the cards and say the number.

(W) Game: “ Be attentive”

Teacher shows a number and names it. If it is correct learners agree “Yes, it is number …”, if it is not correctly they say “No, it is number…”

15- red, 20- green, 11-blue, 10-black, 30-brown,

(W) Energizer: “ The Gummy Bear ”.

[P] Listening and playing a game of bingo. Give each pair of learners a bingo card with numbers 1-50 on it. Call out numbers which are learners have on their cards. Learners cross numbers which they are hear.

Explain to learners that they shout Bingo when they have crossed off all their numbers.

Ss are given 2 apples and asked to tick one of them on the apple tree.

Greeting, Warm Up

Greet the students. “Hello!”/”Good morning!”/”Good afternoon!”

“ What`s the weather like today? How are you?”

Have learners watch greeting song and ask what greeting phrases they remember.

New Learning and Practice:

Go through the PPT revise vocabulary chorus as a class.

Name numbers words

Show the next slides practice determiners ( how much + noun )

Explain the usage of Have got + noun

Introduce two more numerous numbers 1 -20 to count

- Ask learners to look around the class, what the classroom objects they see and count them.

- Invite learners to come to the middles of the class and choose pictures;

- Have learners to name the main information in a short carefully articulated talk on familiar topics

-Diff: Understand the main points of short, slow and carefully articulated talk on routine and familiar topics features such as color and number

Pass out paddles and markers to see if learners remember previous material.

Ask learners to show the number, letter. More confident learners can name the color. Name numbers one by one and ask learners to show you the words.. Praise them. Give stickers.

- Teacher will review counting from 1-10 with students through gathering them in a circle and then counting the numbers back from 10 to 1. The Teacher shows the written number flashcards, learners should name the as quick as possible. Teacher may organize a little competition. 2 learners are called to the front of the boards or chosen in the circle and start to count from 10 to 1. One learner starts and second should continue.

- T shows the PPT and asks question ‘How many…. are there’? counting the things on the PPT learners should say the answer. e.g. How many doors are there in class? How many boys are there?

- Teacher models and drills numbers 11 -19 using PPT and explains the differences in spelling

A)11,12 (eleven, twelve)

B) 13,15 (three-thirteen, five-fifteen, nine-nineteen)

C)14, 16,17,18,19 which add teen to known number

Teacher read and learners should repeat after and then write them down into their notebooks.

- T divides the class into 2 groups and gives 2 different worksheets. One group has questions another group has a picture where they can find the answers. First group should write the correct number near the question. (As learners cannot read well teacher can help them)

T gives a flashcard with jumbled numbers of a game for every learner, they should listen to the Teacher very carefully.
