Dolmens are very ancient stone structures. Nobody knows for sure who built them and why. Many believe that dolmens are tombs.
It remains unclear how people in the distant past were able to build structures from such huge and heavy stone slabs.
I find it interesting, that there are dolmens in different parts of the world. In Russia, many dolmens are located in the Krasnodar Territory.
Дольмены - это очень древние каменные сооружения. Никто точно не знает, кто и зачем их построил. Многие считают, что дольмены - это гробницы.
Остается неясным, как люди в далеком прошлом вообще смогли воздвигнуть сооружения из таких огромных и тяжелых каменных плит.
Интересно, что дольмены есть в разных частях света. В России много дольменов находится в Краснодарском крае.
There is a very unusual place in the Kaliningrad region. It's called the Dancing Forest. This is a section of pine forest where the tree trunks are not straight, but curved. Although there are different hypotheses, the real cause of this phenomenon remains unclear.

The place called Patriarch's Ponds is a picturesque area in the center of Moscow. Actually, there is only one pond now.
Patriarch's Ponds are considered a mystical place thanks to Bulgakov's novel "The Master and Margarita". It is the place where the story begins.
However, many famous creative people lived in this area. Maybe this place is really a source of special inspiration.

Russia is a big country. It has many mystical places. One of these places is the "Devil's graveyard". This strange anomaly is located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It is an empty circular glade in the taiga. Trees don’t grow on it. They say, animals that enter this glade die. May be this is the place where the Tunguska meteorite fell. However, no one knows for sure.

Shamans consider this place special and perform their rituals there. But not only shamans consider this mountain a place of power. There are many legends about it.

One of my favorite things to do when I was a little girl was to stay with my granddad, so I’d go to stay with him on the holidays, and he would often tell me stories, or sing songs for me, so I learned a lot from him, but one of my favorite things, like I said was to listen to his stories and around Halloween sometimes, or if we asked him at other times when it was getting dark or a bit scary we’d ask him to tell us a ghost story, so one of, yeah, one of the first ghost stories I remember was him telling us about a time when he was quite young,

I think he was in his early twenties maybe, and he was already married but he went back to his parents house one night to just, to meet his family and friends, have a game of cards maybe with friends who were gathered there, so it got pretty late because they had been playing cards for a long time having some fun so he didn’t want to leave and then eventually, he and his friends decided, OK, we’d better leave and better go back home, so the two of them were walking together towards their house but in between his parents’ house and his new home they had to pass a graveyard, so these two guys, young men, I suppose, they weren’t very happy with the idea of going past a graveyard very late at night, because you know, there are lots of stories about ghosts and spirits hanging around at that time of night, so they were approaching the graveyard and they were a bit scared and they were wondering whether they should turn back or keep going.

In every culture there are myths and legends which tell stories about supernatural creatures, ghosts. It is considered that ghost or phantom is a spirit of dead man who has an unfinished business or as some sources tell angry spirit which is eager to revenge. In many religions there are special obsequies performed to rest human soul. According to witnesses ghosts appear in half transparent white or black images and their appearance is accompanied by strange sounds, unpleasant smell, sharp temperature decrease and faults of electrical equipment. Usually ghosts live in old castles, mansions, cemeteries, abandoned hospitals. Modern science denies ghosts existence; scientists consider that witnesses saw ghosts because of illusions or hallucinations.
In my opinion, ghosts exist and spirits of dead try to transmit messages. Nowadays there are a lot of films and programs which propagandize the existence of supernatural, the majority of such films are created on real events, and real people with extraordinary abilities take part in such programs. Watching what is happening on the screen one feels tingles down the spine, it is difficult to be detached and not to believe in going-on. I believe that there are people gifted by nature who can communicate with other worlds as well with spirits of dead. I think, ghosts exist and I hope they don’t harm innocent people.

Во многих религиях есть специальные обряды погребения, проводимые для упокоения души человека. По словам очевидцев, приведения предстают в белом или черном полупрозрачном облике, и их появление сопровождается странными звуками, неприятным запахом, резким снижением температуры и неполадками с электрическим оборудованием. Обычно призраки живут в старых замках, особняках, на кладбищах, в заброшенных больницах. Современная наука отрицает существование призраков, ученые считают, что очевидцы видели привидения вследствие иллюзий или галлюцинаций.
На мой взгляд, привидения существуют, а души мертвых пытаются передать послания. Сегодня есть много фильмов и передач, пропагандирующих существование сверхъестественного, большинство таких фильмов созданы на реальных событиях, а в передачах участвуют реальные люди с экстраординарными способностями. Наблюдая, за происходящим на экране, мурашки бегут по всему телу, трудно оставаться равнодушным и не верить в происходящее. Я верю, что есть люди одаренные природой, которые могут общаться с существами из других миров, в том числе с душами умерших. Думаю, привидения есть, и надеюсь, они не причиняют зла невинным людям.
Я хочу рассказать жуткую историю. Однажды ночью мне показалось, что в моей комнате есть кто-то кроме меня. Я открыл глаза и увидел у окна тень. Она была очень высокая, худая и протягивала ко мне руки. Мне стало страшно, и я закричал так громко как только мог. Я сидел на кровати и кричал. Вдруг в комнату вбежали мои родители. Они были очень напуганы. Папа включил свет, и я перестал кричать. Оказывается, днем мама принесла из зала в мою комнату огромную пальму в большом горшке и поставила ее за штору. So it got pretty late because they had been playing cards for a long time having some fun so he didn’t want to leave and then eventually, he and his friends decided, OK, we’d better leave and better go back home, so the two of them were walking together towards their house but in between his parents’ house and his new home they had to pass a graveyard.

So these two guys, young men, I suppose, they weren’t very happy with the idea of going past a graveyard very late at night, because you know, there are lots of stories about ghosts and spirits hanging around at that time of night, so they were approaching the graveyard and they were a bit scared and they were wondering whether they should turn back or keep going.

Be strong and brave about it. So they were approaching the graveyard and suddenly my granddad saw what he thought was a priest sitting on the wall.

So he say a man dressed in black, with a white collar, and he was so frightened, I mean, I can’t imagine what he must have said at the time, but he and his friend were really, really scared, and they were talking between themselves, “Oh, my God! What should we do? What should we do?” but they were so frightened they couldn’t move.

So all of a sudden, he decided and he just ran straight past the graveyard, and then suddenly, this big dog came jumping down from the wall of the graveyard, and my granddad was so scared, he was like screaming, and everything, but as it turned out it was just a sheep dog that he’d seen so in the dark of night, in those days of no road lights and street lights or anything what he’d actually seen with his friend was a black sheep dog with a white collar, so not a ghost after all.
