О продолжительности жизни
За XX век продолжительность жизни людей значительно возросла. Например, в довоенные советские годы мужчины в среднем жили 37,5 лет, а женщины - 41,9 года (статистика 1940 года). На сегодняшний день, хотя Россия и отстает по этому показателю от развитых стран, продолжительность жизни в нашей стране составляет 64,7 года для мужчин и 76,57 - для женщин.
"Долгожительство" связано, в первую очередь, с отсутствием крупных военных конфликтов, а также с успехами медицины, которая смогла побороть смертельные инфекции и вирусы, уменьшила младенческую смертность и продлила здоровую старость.
Важно понимать, что возросло время активной профессиональной деятельности , когда специалист, получивший профильное образование, может своей работой принести наибольшую пользу обществу, достичь профессиональных целей, увеличить благосостояние семьи и создать пенсионные накопления.
Это значит, что у нас почти в 2 раза больше жизненного времени по сравнению с нашими дедами и прадедами. В наших сутках не 24, а 48 часов для разных дел.
Продолжительность жизни изменила и карьерную лестницу: если раньше проработать на одном заводе всю жизнь было нормой, то теперь менять направление работы несколько раз в жизни стало нормой в развитых странах.
Век живи - век учись. По-европейски
И раньше все знали, что нужно учиться. Это далеко не новость. Просто в Европе концепция постоянного, осознанного и активного обучения на протяжении всей жизни, т.е. Lifelong learning , стала основой социальной политики государств. То есть не просто поговорили на конференции и забыли, а действительно выделяют финансирование.
В принятой ЮНЕСКО стратегии образования на 2014-2021 гг концепция Lifelong learning занимает центральное место. Что делают правительства развитых стран для ее реализации:
- создают Интернет-порталы для информирования о возможностях образования в зависимости от места проживания и об онлайн-образовании на разных языках, для общения
- развивают курсы и консультирование по дальнейшему образованию в службах занятости населения
- привлекают работодателей для развития и поощрения бесплатного обучения на рабочих местах
- выделяют финансирование для бесплатного высшего образования для взрослых и грантов под социальные проекты
- выделяют стипендии на время обучения
Так, в Германии, если вы взрослый человек со средним профессиональным образованием, и решили вдруг пойти получить степень магистра в своей области, государство вам не только вернет деньги за обучение после окончания курса, но и будет оплачивать проезд все время учебы.
Some people believe that there is no end to education, while others are sure that this process stops after graduation. In this essay, I will try to look upon this issue.
In my opinion, there is no end to the process of learning. First, the learning process starts well before a person goes to school or even kindergarten. Children start learning right after their birth. They learn to walk, talk, etcetera. Second, even after retirement, people have to continue to learn new things and activities to keep themselves busy.
However, some people believe that education ends when a person graduates from a university or leaves school. According to them, a degree and skills learned during study are enough for a successful career.
I cannot totally agree with that opinion, because despite the fact that in general education stops after school, college or university, it does not mean that the studying itself stops.
In the modern world, workers have to improve their skills throughout their career. They must keep themselves updated by reading professional literature and receiving upgrading training because everything changes very fast nowadays. It also concerns everyday life. That is why studying has no holidays.
To summarise, I would like to say that there is no end to education and each person has to constantly continue evolving to be up to date.
Одни считают, что образование не заканчивается, другие уверены, что после окончания вуза этот процесс прекращается. В этом эссе я постараюсь рассмотреть этот вопрос.
На мой взгляд, процесс обучения никогда не заканчивается. Во-первых, процесс обучения начинается задолго до того, как человек идет в школу или даже детский сад. Дети начинают учиться сразу после рождения. Они учатся ходить, говорить и так далее. Во-вторых, даже после выхода на пенсию люди должны продолжать учиться новым вещам и видам деятельности, чтобы поддерживать себя в форме и быть здоровыми.
Однако некоторые считают, что образование заканчивается, когда человек заканчивает университет или школу. По их мнению, диплом и навыки, полученные в процессе обучения, достаточны для успешной карьеры.
Я не могу полностью согласиться с этим мнением, потому что, несмотря на то, что общее образование прекращается после школы, колледжа или университета, это не означает, что само обучение прекращается. В современном мире рабочие должны совершенствовать свои навыки на протяжении всей своей карьеры. Они должны быть в курсе событий, читая профессиональную литературу и повышая квалификацию, потому что в настоящее время все меняется очень быстро. Это касается и повседневной жизни. Поэтому в учебе нет каникул.
Подводя итог, хочу сказать, что образование бесконечно, и каждый человек должен постоянно развиваться, чтобы быть на высоте.

Education has always been a sensitive issue. Nowadays some people say it is the most important thing for teenagers, others consider it less important.
I tend to agree with people who consider it to be the most valuable thing. Firstly, there is no doubt education is important and must be financed and valued. A lot of teenagers strongly believe that education is essential. Studying helps us develop and master our skills, which are extremely useful in modern life. Various subjects are responsible for different areas. ICT and Maths help to develop planning skills, concentration and self-discipline. The humanities make teenagers more creative, work on critical thinking and elocution. All in all, if people study hard it can broaden their minds. Secondly, becoming a specialist is a key to success, as people with any kind of degree are more successful in the job market than people who did not study at university. It is a well-known fact that all well-paid jobs require higher education.
However, some people think education is not the most valuable thing for teens because other priorities require a lot of time and efforts to be invested in. They say that teenagers should have their hobbies and go out with their friends. Young people cannot spend the whole day studying hard. Teenagers are young and free, so they should enjoy their adolescence.
Still, I cannot agree with those people who say that it is really important to enjoy this wonderful period of life without worrying about studies. I strongly believe that teenagers should prioritize and understand that they need to do their best in studies to become successful people in the future.
To wrap it up, I think it is safe to say that education is the top priority for teenagers when it comes to the issue of their future career because it allows to get a well-paid job and have a happy lifestyle.
