In recent years there has been a vast increase in the number of students choosing to study abroad. This is partly because people are more affluent and partly due to the variety of grants and scholarships which are available for overseas students nowadays. Although foreign study is not something which every student would choose, it is an attractive option for many people.

Studying overseas has a number of advantages. Firstly/For example, it may give students access to knowledge and facilities such as laboratories and libraries which are not available in their home country. Furthermore/Moreover/What is more/Secondly, by looking abroad students may find a wider range of courses than those offered in their country’s universities, and therefore one which fits more closely to their particular requirements.

On the other hand, studying abroad has a number of drawbacks. These may be divided into personal and professional. Firstly students have to leave their family and friends for a long period. Furthermore/Moreover/What is more/Secondly studying abroad is almost always more expensive that studying in one’s local university. Finally/Furthermore/Moreover/What is more, students often have to study in a foreign language, which may limit their performance and mean they do not attain their true level.

In my opinion/On the other hand, however, the disadvantages of studying abroad are usually temporary in nature. Students who study abroad generally become proficient in the language quite soon and they are only away from their family and friends for a year or two. Furthermore/What is more, many of the benefits last students all their lives and make them highly desirable to prospective employers.

Education is very important in our life. Thank to education we learn not only a subject, we learn one profession, how to communicate with other people, how to work in a team and how to have the best results. Many pupils understand it and after school they go to college, universities, take the courses. But there are teenagers who try even to go to study abroad. One of these students I would like to be.

Studying abroad is challenging and prestigious. It’s challenging because you are far away from your home, family and friends, you have to speak foreign language and you have to become very responsible. It’s prestigious because the program is usually more difficult, so your knowledge should be better and you pass your studying in a foreign language.

You may find a good job after all in your country or even abroad. Here everything depends on you. But diploma from a foreign university is always advantage for you.

Anyway students who want to study abroad have to think about it in advance. They need to find a place where they want to go, to find out all the information, to prepare all documents and to finish school with high marks. It’s not so easy to study but also difficult to enter the university.

But the studying in general should be very interesting. If you decide to study in European university you will meet a lot of people from different countries. Because students in Europe travel a lot and they also like to study abroad. If you enter an American university you will learn American culture and traditions. The lessons of theory are useful but practical lessons will be just fantastic.

I think studying abroad is a dream for any good pupil and student. And if you care about your future you will definitely try to become a student of a university abroad.

Образование сегодня играет важную роль. Благодаря ему мы изучаем не просто сам предмет, а знакомимся с новой профессией, учимся взаимодействовать с людьми, работать в одной команде и добиваться лучших результатов. Многие школьники понимают это и после школы идут учиться в колледж, университеты или записываются на курсы. Но есть и такие ребята, кто пытается уехать учиться заграницу. И я бы хотел стать одним из таких студентов.

Обучение за границей довольно сложное, но престижное. Сложность заключается а том, что ты находишься вдалеке от дома, семьи и друзей, скорее всего, тебе нужно говорить на иностранном языке. А ещё ты должен стать очень ответственным. А престижно это потому что программа обучения сложнее. А значит, твои знания будут лучше и ты пройдёшь весь курс обучения на иностранном языке.

После окончания университета, ты сможешь найти хорошую работу в своей стране или даже за рубежом. Тут уж все зависит от тебя. Но диплом из университета за рубежом всегда будет большим преимуществом.

В любом случае, те ребята, которые мечтают учиться за границей, должны подумать об этом заранее. Им нужно найти место, где хотят учиться, разобраться со всей информацией, подготовить документы и окончить школу с высокими результатами. Там непросто учиться, но и трудно поступить.

Но само обучение должно быть довольно интересным. Если ты решишь учиться в европейском университете, то встретишь много ребят из других стран. Ведь студенты в Европе много путешествуют. Сами они также хотят учиться за границей. А если ты поступишь в американский университет, то быстро познакомишься а американской культурой и традициями. Теоретические уроки очень полезны, но практические должны быть просто супер.

Я думаю, что учеба за границей- это мечта любого ученика и студента. И если вы беспокоитесь о своём будущем, то обязательно хотя бы попытаетесь поступить в Международный университет.

Of course, getting education in foreign county has a lot of benefits. First of all, studying abroad you have a really good chance to improve your knowledge of the language. When you are surrounded by another language environment, you have an opportunity to develop your listening and speaking skills. I suppose there is no other good way to become fluent.

Also, aside from language, you get to know a new culture, history, lifestyle, customs and so on. Living in any new country is likely to broaden the mind. Many people who have studied abroad say it was one of the best experiences of their lives. It challenges you to step out of your comfort zone while seeing the world and experiencing something entirely new.

It’s great to take a break from your everyday life to experience something that not many people get the chance to see. You’ll meet new people from across the globe and make lifelong bonds and friendships.

There’s no better way to see how people live and understand a culture than by living there. You can learn things you just can’t while you sit in a classroom. Actually living in a foreign place can greatly assist with learning the native language. Living there as opposed to visiting, will give you the chance to get a genuine experience instead of a tourist experience.

Everyday tasks like reading a map, exchanging money and learning to get around on your own is a life lesson waiting for you. These skills can transfer over to being a more profitable employee later on.

Simply taking an extended travel break or getting a job abroad is a great way to see the world, but with studying abroad, you’ll be gaining an education. So you’ll be earning a degree while you’re traveling to maximize your time and money.

The idea of studying abroad can seem like a fabulous opportunity, but there are also plenty of potential downsides: practical, financial, and psychological.

Students have to pay not only for the study but also for the living cost. And students who study abroad are exposed to culture shock and they will have communication barrier. In addition, you will miss your friends and family, feel homesick, at times lost or alienated.

While there are many ways to save up for studying abroad and you may even be able to find scholarships to help you go, studying abroad can be expensive. Besides tuition, you also have to factor in living expenses, travel costs and other costs you may not have anticipated.

The English language is now the first language of about 400 million people, the native language of 12 nations and the official or semiofficial language of 33 more nations. That means one in every seven people in the world speaks English. The English language has become the “new latin” of the century, the world’s top tongue. One billion people speak English. That’s 20% of the world population. For the other 600 million it’s either a second language or a foreign language. There are more than 500,000 words in the Oxford English Dictionary. Compare that withthe vocabularyof German (about 200,000) and French (about100,000) At present no other language on Earth is better suited to play the role of a world language.

English is so widespread nowadays because it has become the standard language for all kinds of international communication: 80% of all information in the world’s computers is in English; nearly 50% of all the companies in Europe communicate with one another in English; 75% of all international letters are in English. English is also the international language of business people, pilots, diplomats and politicians, sportsmen and scientists, doctors and students, musicians and singers.

Obviously English is going to become even more important as a global language, dominating world trade, computers and media.

Not so long ago learning English was not much fun. You only had to read boring texts, translate them from English into Russian and back and learn lists of words by heart.

Today learning English has become much more exciting. Students can enjoy and kind of pronunciation and various accents listening to the CDs read by native speakers. Watching video and DVD films allow students to see authenticmovies with or without subtitles. You can use the computer not only for playing games but also for acquiring knowledge. The Internet is a boundless world of learning opportunities. There are a lot of sites providing different activities, students’ cafes and chats. You can ask any questions to the world’s top teachers and you will get your answers in a second. You can find the words of popular songs in English and sing along with your favourite singers. And finally if you can afford it, go abroad and learn English with native speakers in an English-speaking country.

Because English is so widely spoken, it has often been referred to as a “global language”, the lingua franca of the modern era. While English is not an official language in many countries, it is currently the language most often taught as a second language around the world. Some linguists believe that it is no longer the exclusive cultural sign of “native English speakers”, but it rather a language that is absorbing aspects of cultures worldwide as it continues to grow. It is, by international treaty, the official language for aerial and maritime communications, as well as one of the official languages of the European Union, the United Nations, and most international athletic organizations, including the International Olympic Committee.

English is the language most often studied as a foreign language in the European Union (by 89% of schoolchildren), followed by French (32%), German (18%), and Spanish (8%). It is also the most studied in the People’s republic of China, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.

Books, magazines, and newspapers written in English are available in many countries around the world. English is also the most commonly used language in the sciences. In 1997, the Science Citation Index reported that 95% of its articles were written in English, even though only half of them came from authors in English-speaking countries.

Nowadays living abroad has become really popular. It is much easier to cross the boarders and settle in another country. Many people choose to immigrate. Others find it unpromising and hopeless.

To my mind, moving abroad seems to be really tough experience. First of all, communication can be difficult since it takes place in a foreign language. This might cause misunderstanding in daily life, while making purchases or visiting a doctor. Moreover, immigrants may have some difficulties in finding well-paid jobs. They have to confirm a degree and improve their language skills. As a result, lots of services do not seem affordable for them.

However, there are some people who are in favour of idea of moving abroad. They claim that it allows people to experience a new culture.

They broaden their mind and establish new friendships. This way their lives become more exciting.

Nevertheless, I do not agree with the above opinion. Most immigrants feel isolated, as their friends and family are not close to them and cannot offer support.

В наши дни жизнь за границей стала по-настоящему популярной. Гораздо проще пересечь границы и поселиться в другой стране. Многие люди предпочитают иммигрировать. Другие считают это бесперспективным и безнадежным.

На мой взгляд, переезд за границу кажется очень сложным опытом. Прежде всего, общение может быть затруднено, поскольку оно происходит на иностранном языке. Это может привести к недоразумениям в повседневной жизни, при совершении покупок или посещении врача. Кроме того, у иммигрантов могут возникнуть некоторые трудности с поиском хорошо оплачиваемой работы. Они должны подтвердить степень и улучшить свои языковые навыки. В результате многие услуги не кажутся им доступными.

Однако есть люди, которые поддерживают идею переезда за границу. Они утверждают, что это позволяет людям испытать новую культуру. Они расширяют кругозор и заводят новых друзей. Таким образом, их жизнь становится более захватывающей.

Тем не менее, я не согласен с вышеуказанным мнением. Большинство иммигрантов чувствуют себя изолированными, так как их друзья и семья не находятся рядом с ними и не могут предложить поддержку.

Some people think that studying in overseas universities is a brilliant idea. However, the others claim that it is better to stay in native land to get worthy education.

In my opinion, nowadays, many pupils who finished school go abroad and try to get excellent education there. The first thing that needs to be said is students might get centuries-old experience in advanced countries. Our country lives through the economic crisis at present days, so when those students come back they could offer new ways of decision up-to-date problems. Secondly studying abroad gives learners great opportunity to improve their language skills. Falling under the spell of foreign country’s culture and life allows doing this.

On the contrary, the many people consider that it is better to study there where one be born. As Russian people say “Where you were born there you will be useful”. They believe that charge in some countries is very expensive. Moreover students living in Europe or the USA may have culture shock and they often have stress or even depression.

I disagree with this point of view, because a solid abroad education helps to get more interesting and highly-paid job. Besides they are more creative, flexible and their vision of the world is deeper and wider.

In conclusion, I should say if you want to get an excellent education, you will try to go to one of the universities abroad. In that way you will have international recognition. Though there are some Russian universities and institutes which have appropriate levels and highly-qualified staff.
