Развить навыки распознавания и употребления в речи фразовых глаголов с make, предлогов in, on, at, to в устойчивых словосочетаниях.

Ознакомить учащихся со способами образования существительных от прилагательных с помощью суффиксов -ance, -cy, -ence, -ness, -ity.

Развить языковую догадку, логическое мышление учащихся.

Совершенствование навыков работы в группе.

Фразовые глаголы: make up for, make out, make of, make off with, make up.

Словосочетания с предлогами in, on, at, to: be close to the city center, in the corner of the room, on the corner of the street, at home, be in a hurry, in ruins, in the direction of, live in the suburbs, live in a field, live on a farm, be at school, go to school.

Выполнение упр.3 стр.36. Составление словосочетаний, используя предлоги in, on, at, to. Составление предложений. (8 мин)

Игра на закрепление грамматического материала Gerund or Infinitive. (15 мин)

I. Teacher (T): Good morning pupils, I’m glad to see you. Sit down, please. What is the date today? Who is absent today?

T: Today you’ll learn the ways of forming nouns from adjectives, phrasal verbs with “make”and you’ll learn some dependent prepositions. So, Let’s start working.

II. T: As I’ve already said, today we are going to learn the rule of word formation. Now, please, open your books on page 36 the exercise 1. As you seem, we can use suffixes –ance, -cy, -ence, -ness,-ity to form nouns from adjectives. For example: arrogant- arrogance, urgent- urgency, different- difference, gentle- gentleness, sane- sanity. Now look at the sentences and fill in the correct form of the words in bold using these suffixes. (Учащимся дается время самостоятельно выполнить упражнение, после чего они проверяют правильность выполнения вместе с учителем)

(Answers: 1 – secrecy, 2 – importance, 3 – kindness, 4 – patience, 5 – security, 6 – activity)

T: Now we are going to learn phrasal verbs with “make”. Look at the blackboard. ( На доске написаны 2 колонки со словами. Первая колонка – фразовые глаголы, вторая – их значения.) Let’s match these phrasal verbs to their meanings.

(Answers: make up for – compensate for, make out – see clearly, make of - think about, make off with – stole and ran away with, make up – invent)

Now let’s do the exercise 2. Your task is to complete these sentences with the correct phrasal verb.

(Answers: 1 - make out, 2 - made off with, 3 - make up for, 4 – making up, 5 – make of)

T: Please, look at the exercise 3. Use prepositions to, in, on, at to complete these word combinations.

(Answers: 1- be close to the city center, 2- in the corner of the room, 3 - on the corner of the street, 4 - at home, 5 - be in a hurry, 6 - in ruins, 7 - in the direction of, 8 - live in the suburbs, 9 - live in a field, 10 - live on a farm, 11 - be at school, 12 - go to school.)

T: Now choose any phrasal verbs or phrases with dependent prepositions to make five sentences about yourself. (Учащиеся должны составить предложения, используя новый лексический материал из упражнений 2,3 стр. 36. Затем учащиеся говорят свои предложения на русском, а остальные должны перевести их на английский язык)

T: Now we are going to revise our grammar material “Gerund and Infinitive”. First of all, I want to divide you into two teams, because we’ll play the game. (Учитель делит учащихся на две команды, перед началом игры учитель с учениками проговаривают правила употребления герундия и инфинитива, затем учитель объясняет правила игры /data/files/l1484399403.docx (ИГРА)

III. T: Now write down your hometask. It is exercises 1,2,3 page 19 in your workbooks. Also your task is to learn words and phrases ex.2 and ex.3 page 36 by heart. Your marks today are the following… The lesson is over, good bye!

Тип урока: комбинированный

Цель: организовать деятельность учащихся по изучению и активизации нового лексического материала, совершенствование слухопроизносительных навыков.

Образовательные: ознакомить с новым фразовым глаголом, словосочетаниями с зависимыми предлогами, словообразованием, научить употреблять их в речи

Воспитательные: научить работать самостоятельно над новым материалом, воспитывать усидчивость и трудолюбие.

Развивающие: развивать воображение и память.

Оснащение: Презентация к уроку, раздаточный материал ( схема –тренажер для написания эссе), тематические картинки.

Ход урока

Т : Good morning, children. I am glad to see you. How are you today?

Children, please look at the blackboard and try to guess the topic of our today’s lesson.

P1: I think the topic of the lesson is phrasal verb – break, dependent prepositional phrases and word formation.

T: you are right. And I am even sure that you will be able to determine the aim of our lesson then.

P2: I think we will learn a new phrasal verb, some phrases with dependent prepositions and a word formation rule.

T: Yes, as you see we have a lot to do at the lesson so let’s get down to work at once.

5. Введение нового материала :

T: The opinion essay is one of the tasks in the Russian National examination, so you have to be able to write it correctly. Our today’s lesson will help you to enrich your vocabulary which you can use in your written tasks as well. For example phrasal verbs can be used in informal letters, phrases with dependent prepositions will be useful in many other tasks, as well as the word formation rules which you are going to learn today.

Т : To begin with, please, repeat after me the words you see on the blackboard to pronounce them correctly.

T:Dear children, today we will work in groups. Each group will have its own task and work with one exercise to study carefully the new lexical units and to explain them to the others afterwards.

You may choose the exercise yourselves. Let group 1 take ex 1,…

a) Forming past/present participles (-ed, -ing) (word formation)

T: Read the language box. When do we use past and present participles. Complete the task individually.

b) Discussing the topic of a text/ Practising past and present participles.

T: You have a few minutes to think about what you want to tell the class. Use past/present participles in your presentation. Tell the class about what you think of April Fool’s Day.

P: I think April Fool’s day is exciting. It is a great way to play jokes on people and get away with it. I feel thrilled when I play a joke on someone. It’s lots of fun. I don’t get annoyed or angry if someone plays a joke on me. It’s all part of the fun. It’s not just another boring day like all the others.

T: Complete the task individually and check in your dictionaries if necessary. Read your sentences.
