Вы наверняка уже догадались, что без достаточного уровня владения техническим английским, возможность работы в IT-сфере является довольно туманной. Кроме того, даже само составление грамотного, а главное, интригующего для работодателя резюме, будет затруднительным.

So, what’s the secret? Если в общих чертах, то все довольно просто: краткость — сестра таланта. Секрет создания хорошего резюме IT-специалиста заключается в демонстрации только самых важных и необходимых для должности навыков.

Уверенность в себе в полном объеме достигается путем прохождения определенных курсов, вебинаров и личных занятий (с нашими преподавателями, разумеется). Но для начала вы можете попробовать составить резюме по рекомендации. У вас должно все получиться. Ну а дальше — дело за вами.

Как составлять резюме: структура и особенности

Резюме специалиста по информационным технологиям похоже на другие резюме во многих аспектах. Однако в нашем случае документ обязательно нужно украсить особыми техническими терминами, следуя при этом определенным правилам.

Укажите актуальную карьерную цель (Relevant Career Objective / Career Statement).

С нее лучше и начать резюме, но это полностью зависит от вас. Мы просто скажем, что есть основные моменты, которые пропускать нельзя. С тем условием, что ваше резюме составлено четко, организованно и наполнено корректным содержанием, у вас есть все шансы попасть на собеседование.

Обязательно указывайте стаж в первом предложении.

Работодатель непременно обратит на это внимание и поймет, что ваше резюме стоит читать дальше. В конце первого абзаца, например, следует добавить следующие строки:

Ошибки при написании резюме

Если у компании нет конкретных инструкций, самый верный формат для резюме — PDF.

Оплачиваемый VS Неоплачиваемый трудовой опыт (paid vs unpaid work experience).

Еще одной ошибкой является то, что люди полагают, что единственный опыт, который имеет значение, — оплачиваемый. Wrong.

Вспомните о волонтерстве, о болезни, которую преодолели, или о том, как научились шить и создавать свою собственную одежду. Другими словами, чем вы гордитесь и в чем проявляете свои навыки.

Это не обязательно должно быть связано с вашей работой. Но может оказаться одним из самых ярких разделов в резюме. Если вы, конечно, подтвердите это конкретными фактами и цифрами, и укажите, какие навыки развили благодаря данному занятию.

Кроме того, подобный опыт, может стать отличным стартом для беседы на собеседовании. Но, разумеется, такое лучше указывать в конце.

Отличие резюме от CV

В нем должны быть перечислены все полученные специальности, дополнительные курсы, места работы, предыдущие должности и обязанности в хронологическом порядке.

Для некоторых специальностей, например, журналистов и научных работников, в CV должны быть включены все их публикации, портфолио, конференции, в которых они принимали участие, стажировки и т. п.

Иногда в CV могут быть включены даже тексты некоторых работ. Таким образом, CV может достигать over 10 страниц.
