Students take their cards and get ready to revise. Praise them with the cards if they are first and wright.
Ask students questions like:
-What is the weather today? Is it cold? Is it hot? Is it wet? Is it dry?
This will present differentiation because some of the learners may already know the words and tell you, others will remember the words Hot and cold and simply answer YES or NO to your questions.
Activity 2.Drilling
Then show them new cards with WEATHER vocabulary, practice saying them and making a sentences.
Play a SNOWBALL when one person starts with a sentence and the others repeat the said sentence and add another one. To support students may have the cards holding when doing this activity.
For example: student A:It is cold.
Student B: it is cold and hot, etc.
Play a memory game of “Go fish”. Learners take turns to turn over two images and then turn them back over. Learners are looking for/need to remember images that both indicate a weather condition, e.g. umbrella/raincoat (it’s rainy)
Students listen and tick or circle the weather words they hear.
Then ask some of them to tell you sentences about pictures. Encourage more able students to make sentences and others will tick the pictures.

Rain, rain go away song:
Save some time for explaining the homework. They have to cut the cards and learn new words, also do som overwriting.
Apples are cut and are on the teacher’s table. Students have to come and take one apple showing their results today. Teacher observes.

Check if the learners cut their cards and did the hometask. Praise them with smiles.
Do a quick Show me revision with their cards. You may ask one strong student to name the cards instead of you.Others will find and show them
Ask students questions like:
-What is the weather today? Is it cold? Is it hot? Is it wet? Is it dry?
Encorage students to make a sentence using the words they have learnt.
For example: Today the weather is hot, dry and sunny.
Show students PPT with the pictures and quickly got through it asking all or individuals.
Activity 2.Drilling
Have 2 students to come out and choose the cards on the teacher’s table, help them to make a sentence. Class repeats. Then continue this with the rest of the class.
To revise animals and weather vocabulary students listen and sing a song. Before turning it on ask students to name the animals from the song, their names. Practice singing and dancing.
Go fish game
Learners are in pairs. They are given the worksheets with the pictures of clothes and they will need their weather cards as well (1 set for a pair). All the weather cards are face down. They take turns opening the cards and matching the weather to the cloth picture. Ask them why they think so.
Another version: they can have all the words cut and match them when they turn them over if the weather and clothes match.
Существует много аналогичных компьютерных игр, где не совпавшие пары карточек автоматически закрываются, а совпавшие остаются открытыми. Но дело в том, что трудно подобрать именно то, что вам нужно. Поэтому для фронтальной работы в классе на интерактивной доске я делаю Memory Game в приложении PowerPoint. В этом случае одна карточка пары представляет собой изображение, а вторая - слово. Или слово – слово, например, где пары антонимов. Правила игры такие же как и в настольном варианте. В эту игру с удовольствием играют даже старшеклассники, особенно если дать задание на скорость.

ORGANISATION MOMENT: (BT: apply)
T shows PPP of classroom words: listen, read, write, sing, say, look to revise. First T shows only picture and Ss should name the word.
Ss are given worksheets with differentiated multiple-choice tasks that is Ss in questions 1-2 there are 2 choices, in questions 3-4 there are 3 choices, in questions 5-6 there are 4 choices. When T says the word Ss circle that picture, e.g.: One is sing etc.

Practice Playing the game “Go fish”
In groups of 5 – 6 learners play ‘go fish’ with sets of jumbled different flashcards. Each learner takes turns to turn over two cards. Learners win cards if they match and correctly name action: open close sit stand listen read write sing say look desk chair ruler pen three two Bb Dd bag school (T needs two copies of each picture)
T gives Ss worksheets with words, which were in “go fish” game to make their own books. Ss should cut and glue the words.
