MY FAVORITE MOVIE

I like movies very much, especially fantasy. My favorite movie is Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The movie came out in 2001, but it is still very good. Of course, I have seen all the Harry Potter movies, but the first one is special for me.

The movie is set in modern England and in a fictional place called Hogwarts. The story is a mixture of real-life drama and fantasy. The main character of the movie is a ten-year-old orphan Harry. His parents died when he was a baby, and now he lives with his foster parents and his stepbrother who do not like him. Although Harry has a family, he is a very lonely boy.

What I like about this movie is how drastically Harry’s life changed one day. On his eleventh birthday he was invited to study at Hogwarts, the magic school that, as it turned out, his parents attended. He started learning how to use magic and fly on a broomstick. He found good friends and a new home. At the beginning of the movie, Harry is just an ordinary boy. At the end of the movie, he is a hero and one of the most promising young wizards in Hogwarts.

In the following movies, Harry’s story continues, but I like the first one the most. For me, it is not just a story about magic, wands, spells, it is a story about ordinary people and friendship. Yes, Harry, Ron, and Hermione can cast spells, but do not seem to be some sort of mysterious creatures. For us, they are just normal people. They speak and act like any kids of their age. I like Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone because it is the beginning of their story. The storylines of the main characters develop as they grow up in the other movies, but it is so nice to see them at the beginning of their journey.

Темы на ЕГЭ по английскому бывают двух видов:

В темах для эссе по английскому первого типа нужно раскрыть собственное отношение к высказыванию и показать, возможны ли другие точки зрения.

В формулировке второго типа тем предусмотрено два варианта отношения к проблеме, следует выбрать более подходящий и аргументировать выбор.

План сочинения по английскому

Подготовку любого сочинения начинайте с составления плана. Рекомендуем разбить сочинение на несколько частей:

Введение.
Собственная позиция.
Альтернативное мнение.
Опровержение.
Выводы

Содержание — важный критерий оценивания работы, и именно такой план-шаблон эссе по английскому поможет максимально раскрыть сущность темы.

Структура английского сочинения

Ещё один критерий — структура. Она должна быть чёткой и ясной и отражаться в наполнении пунктов плана:

1 часть — раскрытие актуальности темы;
2 часть — формулировка мнения по теме и аргументы к ней (из общественной жизни, фильмов, книг);
3 часть — выражение альтернативной позиции (к ней нужно относиться с уважением);
4 часть — контраргументы к ней;
5 часть — заключение (чёткое и лаконичное).

Как писать сочинение на английском: оформление, правила написания и советы

Кроме перечисленных выше при оценивании сочинения используются еще 3 критерия:

лексика;
грамматика;
орфография и пунктуация.

Поэтому в работе лучше использовать те слова, в написании и значении которых вы уверены, чтобы не допустить ошибок и двусмысленностей.

Не рекомендуется писать слишком длинные и запутанные предложения: существует риск запутаться в знаках препинания.

Избегайте риторических вопросов: последние годы такая конструкция считается стилистической ошибкой.

Важный пункт — объём сочинения. Обычно тему можно раскрыть в 200-250 словах. Поэтому не пишите слишком много, выберите самые значимые аргументы.

Перед экзаменом поищите в интернете образец сочинения по английскому. Переписывать его дословно не стоит, но запомните некоторые вводные слова по теме и фразы-клише:

Пример №1: Эссе по английскому. Тема: The most important thing in life is love.

Some people say that the most important thing in life is love, whereas others believe that money and business are more important.

In my opinion love is indeed the most important possession one can have. First of all, love can inspire people to do great things. For example, when a person is in love he or she becomes very creative and wants to do something important for humanity. Secondly, love fills people's lives with a lot of positive emotions. For instance, such people in love want to get swept away, sing with rapture and dance like a dervish. Moreover, love makes people noble and more forgiving.

At the same time there are people who think that money is more important. They say that if one has money they can have love easily. Knowing that one has money, people will be attracted to them and they will never feel lonely.

In my opinion love that is based on money is not genuine. One can run out of money and everybody who “loved” them will abandon such moneyless people. I believe that love is a part of human nature and people cannot live without it.

In conclusion I would like to say that love and money are very important things in our life but if I had to choose between money and love I would definitely choose love. Money can be earned, but true love is really hard to obtain. Money and love give different kind of pleasure and I consider pleasure from love is much bigger.

Personally, I think that there is nothing bad in keeping animals in zoos. First of all, there are a lot of people in zoos who take care of the wild animals. For example, there are many veterinarian doctors and medical workers who can help animals if they get sick. Secondly, in such places animals do not have natural enemies that can eat them. Animals such as rabbits and deer feel more comfortable and protected there. The conditions of keeping animals are really good nowadays. They have everything they need to feel protected and safe.

At the same time there are people who say that keeping wild animals in cages is unfair and horrible. They are convinced that these animals must live in forests and fields where they really belong.

I cannot agree with the opinion mentioned above for a particular reason. In my opinion, there are a lot of animals that are born in zoos and are used to living with people. They would die “in the wild” because they do not know how to hunt and take care of themselves.

In conclusion, I would like to say that there are many ways of protecting wild animals and zoos are not the last one in this list. They appear happy to live in zoos or natural parks that is why it is quite a fair way of treating animals, I guess.
