Many people think that only highbrows like visiting museums. I do not want to argue about it. However it also depends on preferences. I believe that lowbrows can like visiting museums, too. As for me, I like visiting museums. My Mother has been working at museum for many years. So, in childhood I often went to the museum. There were different exhibitions. Most of all, I liked waxwork exhibition. As I was a child it was fascinating to see the wax sculptures of famous people or even fabled beings.

Многие люди думают, что только люди с тонким вкусом любят посещать музеи. Я не хочу спорить об этом. Однако это также зависит от предпочтений. Я считаю, что людям с примитивными вкусами может также нравиться посещение музеев. Что касается меня, мне нравится посещать музеи. Моя мама много лет работала в музее. Так, в детстве я часто ходила в музей. Были разные выставки. Больше всего мне понравилась выставка восковых фигур. Когда я была ребенком, было интересно увидеть восковые скульптуры знаменитых людей или даже мифических существ.

I think that museums are very interesting. There are many types of museums. They can differ in intention, for example. We know many museums of modern art, museums of architecture, folk museums, history and economy museums and so on. I think that everyone can find and visit museum which are the most interesting for him or her.

Мы знаем много музеев современного искусства, музеев архитектуры, народных музеев, краеведческих музеев и так далее. Я думаю, что каждый может найти и посетить музей, который для него или нее наиболее интересен.

My favourite museum is the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg in Russia. It is a museum of art and culture. Once I was there, but I think that one needs many days to see all that is displayed there. Madame Tussaud’s wax museum is also one of the most popular museums. The wax sculptures of famous people are displayed there. It attracts many people from all over the world.

I like visiting museums. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn something new and interesting, learn more about the history or art.

Issues connected to museums are frequently discussed these days. Usually museums are considered as a cultural heritage of every country. Some people think that museums will be always visited by many people, who are eager to broaden their minds, whereas others disagree with this statement.

To my mind, museums are quite beneficial. To start with, it is a great place to collect pieces of art. There people can enjoy the most valuable of them. A lot of works of famous artists and sculptures are kept there. Moreover, museums give people a chance to see many works of art at once. It may be really convenient for travellers during their guided tours as they usually have lack of time.

However, there are some people, who believe that nowadays people are busy with their work and other duties.

So that, people do not have time to visit museums.

Nevertheless, I do not agree with the above opinion. Many famous museums provide people with virtual excursions. They have become really popular during epidemic situation in the world. It is convenient and affordable in any places of the world.

To sum up, although number of people, who visit museums goes down, I strongly believe that they will never disappear. Museums give people a chance to rise up their general knowledge in art and history.

Вопросы, связанные с музеями, часто обсуждаются в эти дни. Обычно музеи считаются культурным наследием каждой страны. Некоторые люди думают, что музеи всегда будут посещать многие люди, которые хотят расширить свой кругозор, в то время как другие не согласны с этим утверждением.

На мой взгляд, музеи весьма полезны. Начнем с того, что это отличное место для коллекционирования произведений искусства. Там люди могут насладиться самым ценным из них. Здесь хранится много работ известных художников и скульптур. Кроме того, музеи дают людям возможность увидеть много произведений искусства одновременно. Это может быть очень удобно для путешественников во время их экскурсий, поскольку у них обычно не хватает времени.

Однако есть люди, которые считают, что в настоящее время люди заняты своей работой и другими обязанностями. Так что люди не успевают посещать музеи.

Тем не менее, я не согласен с вышеуказанным мнением. Многие известные музеи предоставляют людям виртуальные экскурсии. Они стали действительно популярными во время эпидемической ситуации в мире. Это удобно и доступно в любой точке мира.

Подводя итог, хотя количество людей, посещающих музеи, уменьшается, я твердо верю, что они никогда не исчезнут. Музеи дают людям возможность повысить свои общие знания в области искусства и истории.

The Natural History Museum is a branch of the British Museum. It originally moved to South Kensington in 1881 and houses all the natural history collections generated by original voyages of discovery. Its current mission is to maintain and develop its collections, and use them to promote the discovery, understanding, responsible use and enjoyment of the natural world.
This museum has seen an incredible expansion in visitor numbers in recent years — coupled with a significant development programme for its internal structure — which now includes the 8 storey cocoon shaped Darwin centre which opened in 2009 and now houses the 20 million plant and insect specimens.
The museum also has a rather splendid dinosaur in its main entrance hall.
