People always invent something new that simplifies our life and makes it better. It is the reason why some things are no longer in use. There are so many technologies nowadays. We cannot imagine our life without smartphones, tablets, computers, television and many other things.

People often say that printed books are replaced by e-books. I cannot agree with this statement. I think that now people are even more interested in printed books though they often use e-books.

Though printed books are still very popular it is possible to say that newspapers have become less popular. Nowadays we can find all necessary articles and news on the Internet. Besides, we can choose the particular information. For example, when we read a newspaper we have to read articles of different fields, otherwise it is the waste of money. On the Internet we can read only those articles we are interested in, for example sport articles, that is why young people prefer the Internet to newspapers. Besides, many newspapers have their electronic versions on the Internet. However the older generation prefers to read newspapers. It is more common for them. Besides, usually they are interested in many things so the articles of different fields are interesting for them.
Though newspapers are not so popular nowadays they are still powerful. There are many famous newspapers such as The Guardian, The New York Times, Der Spiegel and so on.

Reading improves our outlook and helps us to think wider. Moreover reading of magazines let us get to know about new tendencies in modern life, social streams and so on. It is a common fact that the variety of magazines on today market is uncountable. Thus everyone is able to choose something interesting. For example, my classmates can’t wait to buy a fresh number of “Cosmopolitan”, “Viva” etc. They believe that articles in it may help in their life. So what can I say - “Tastes differ”.
As for me I’m keen of art in any kind. That’s why I’m trying to read as many interesting articles regarding contemporary art as possible. I think this helps in self-realization and gives better understanding of the world as it’s the common fact that art reflects all the tendencies which exist in society.
There is one magazine that’s quite helpful in this grasping process. It’s called “Sho”. It positions itself as underground art magazine. On its pages I always find something interesting to read about. For more convenience it is divided into sections devoted to modern theatre, news in the field of cinema and most remarkable movies, contemporary literature, and music. As usual I read overviews from different film festivals, for example, Cannes International Film Festival. I find out new interesting music groups and even music streams. On the pages concerning tourism I get to know about exciting sightseeings and possibilities to travel around the world.
“Sho” covers almost all my needs regarding art projects and events. I want to believe that it also helps me to find myself and create my own lifestyle.

Hello, dear guests and teacher! My favorite magazine National Geography. It is very informative and interesting. I learn a lot of new! I like traveling very much, and this magazine about travel and different countries. Most of all I like Thailand. In the last issue of the magazine, I learned a lot about this country. For example, the fact that the inhabitants of the state, very friendly, value their history and traditions. This is a very ancient country, a variety of temples, architecture, exotic pets. Here with love meet tourists and organize different excursions. I especially like the symbol of their country - the golden dragon..
