Where shall we live? Some may choose to live in big cities, while other like the natural and quiet surroundings in the countryside. As far as I am concerned, I would like to live in a big city because living in a big city has more advantages than living in the countryside.
To begin with, the city is the symbol of human civilization and there are a many facilities for living, recreation and health care. Therefore, living there is more convenient than living in the countryside. For example, we can find a plenty of malls around our neighborhood, where we can buy everyday necessities at a low price. Furthermore, people concern more about their health and safety than other things in their lives. In big cities, medical facilities and emergency services are easily accessible than in the countryside. Big cities also have convenient transportation and utility systems. They also offer faster Internet connections. These all make our life easier in big cities.
In addition, we can take part in a variety of events in big cities. Human being likes to live together and need to interact with each other. In a big city, the population density is high therefore there are always plenty of social activities, sports events and concerts. There are more recreational places in big cities, such as opera houses, movie theatres, clubs, and swimming pools. You will have many kinds of entertainment in big cities, and meet many people. In countryside, however, the life may be dull and quite, and you may only have a few neighbors. Living alone with few activities can easily cause mental diseases.
Some may argue that the pollution in cities makes people sick. However, with automobiles and modern highways we can easily take a break to expose to fresh air in the countryside and sunshine on the beach.
In conclusion, I strongly hold that living in big cities is much better than living in the countryside because of the advanced facilities and social activities in cities. Moreover, the autos and highways enable us to enjoy the natural and quiet surroundings in the countryside.

People can live in the city or in rural regions. People decide where they want to live and move there. Sometimes they have to change the place of living because the work requires it. Some people prefer to live in isolation from the rest of the world. They choose places which are located far from cities and rural regions. Sometimes it is quite difficult to get there.
Люди могут жить в городе или в сельской местности. Люди решают, где они хотят жить и переезжают туда. Иногда им приходится менять место жительства, потому что этого требует работа. Некоторые люди предпочитают жить в изоляции от остального мира. Они выбирают места, которые расположены далеко от городов и сельской местности. Иногда добраться туда довольно сложно.
Nowadays it is possible to make a move to some other place easily. Many people move to the cities because there are many opportunities there. Besides, people prefer to move to the big cities because the bigger the city is the more opportunities are there. The first reason why people prefer cities because there are many work places there. There people have more chances to find a job they like. The second reason is education. There are many schools and universities in the cities so it is possible to choose a school or university depending on the skills and preferences. The third reason is medicine. There are different doctors and specialists in the cities and it is very important. Living in the city means that you have many opportunities. There are many facilities in the cities such as entertainment centers, cinemas, shopping centers and so on.

However there are some disadvantages of living in the city. One of the most serious disadvantages is environmental problem and environmental pollution: emissions, water pollution and so on. It has a negative effect on people’s health.

The question of living in big cities has been discussed for quite a long time. Some people say that living in big cities is beneficial, whereas others do not agree. They believe that it is really disadvantageous .
In my opinion living in big cities is exciting. First of all , big cities can offer a person a lot of opportunities for entertainment . For example , there are many theaters, museums and interesting sights to see. Secondly , all new technological or fashion things like computers, gadgets, stylish clothes, and so on first come to big cities and then spread out to towns and villages. For instance , it is impossible to by a brand new gadget right after it comes out if one lives in a small town .
At the same time there are people who say that living in big cities are harmful. The ecological situation in such places is usually horrible. The air is polluted, there are a lot of people who in pandemic time spread viruses very quickly .
I do not agree with the opinion mentioned above. Nowadays almost all means of transportation are being changed into ecologically friendly ones. Trolleybuses and buses that run on electricity do not pollute air at all. As for pandemic, city-dwellers protect themselves much better than others in small towns .
In conclusion , I would like to say there are opposing views on this issue. At first sight living in a big city looks detrimental, but in actual fact it has a lot of benefits. Thus , I strongly believe that living in a city has more advantages than disadvantages .
