We all know that the United Kingdom is a very majestic country. It is no surprise that it has a very long list of famous people that are an integral part of the British history.

William Shakespeare was one of the most well-known playwrights and poets all over the world. He wrote a lot of poems, plays and sonnets such as “Romeo and Juliet”, “Hamlet”, and others. He made a great contribution to English literature, culture and language.

Isaac Newton was the greatest scientist and physicist of all time. He represented his theory of gravity and gave his understanding about optics and mathematics.

Winston Churchill was one of the most outstanding orators, politicians and prime ministers of Great Britain. He successfully led the country against Nazi Germany. He also got the Nobel Prize in literature.

Margaret Thatcher was the first woman who took a position as Prime Minister from 1979—1990. She was nicknamed “Iron Lady” because she was never afraid of telling her mind and always followed her philosophy.

Princess Diana was the most renowned Welsh celebrity after the marriage with Prince Charles. She was very engaged in different charities and was very loved by people. After her death in the car accident, she still remained in public limelight.
