Places, where animals live, face problems mostly due to humans activities. Humans pollute ponds, make deforestation, create new buildings for living, factories and fields for planting that destroy animals’ natural habitat.

In danger
No one really knows how many millions of species of wildlife exist on Earth, but one thing is for sure, plants and animals are all around us! Some live in the woodlands, rivers, hedgerows and ponds in and around our neighbourhoods. Others live in our school playgrounds, private gardens or even in the tiny spaces between grains of sand!
The big problem
Unfortunately, as towns and cities get bigger, humans are destroying these habitats. To build more houses and roads they are cutting down trees in woodlands and forests, which are home to animals such as foxes, otters, red squirrels and hedgehogs and beautiful plants such as bluebells and daffodils. Litter in the streets harms wildlife and poisonous chemicals from farms and factories are getting into rivers, ponds and lakes. When this happens, animals such as frogs, newts and species of birds and fish such as herons and trout can no longer survive. In the same way, many reptiles are dying out around ponds. In fact, three wildlife species become extinct every hour because of habitat destruction … and it’s humans who are causing all this damage!
The solutions
So, what can we do to help protect the habitats around our towns and cities? Well, quite a lot actually! For example, you could find out about the different animal habitats near your home and about any problems that they have. Then you can write letters to the local council or wildlife charities to ask them to do something about the problems.
Also, NEVER throw any rubbish in the street; pick up any litter that you see in woodland, hedgerows, gardens and parks. Lastly, why not create your own little wildlife habitats in gardens or even on balconies? It’s actually quite easy to do!

Our Earth is beautiful and unique. There are no other planets where life can exist as far as we know. That’s why it’s so important to save it for our future generation.
There are many interesting places on our planet. Beautiful deserts, amazing jungles, huge mountains and many other different places which take our breath away. Unfortunately a lot of people don’t understand they ruin this beauty piece by piece.
Our planet is not only the globe. Our Earth is something bigger. There are animals and birds we kill for money and experiments, plants we destroy, air and water we pollute. If you watch the news you can hear about different terrorist attacks, conflicts and strikes. People don’t respect each other anymore and everything we can see around us.
We build many fabrics and plants that produce poison for the whole world. We are lazy to move that’s why people buy beautiful cars that poison our world. We damaged the ozone layer to make few important experiments and poison our world. Unfortunately a lot of actions we are doing now is poisoning our beautiful world.
There are organizations that speak up and ask people to stop pollution, not to use the plastic, not to kill animals and so on. But everything depends only on us. Every person has to choose what future he wants to see. The future without foxes and crocodiles because their skin and fur are fashionable? The future with pure water more expensive than a piece of gold?
I want to have fresh fruit and vegetables, pure water for everybody, animals and birds around us. I am sure future generations will be thankful for this bright fantastic life. So we have to think today which life we want to have tomorrow. And change our actions to save our Earth.

Наша планета Земля красивая и уникальная. В галактике нет других таких планет, где существовала бы жизнь, на сколько мы знаем. Поэтому так важно сохранить ее для будущего поколения.
На нашей планете есть много интересных мест. Красивые пустыни, потрясающие джунгли, огромнейшие горы и множество других мест от которых захватывает дух. К сожалению, многие люди не понимают, что они уничтожают эту красоту кусочек за кусочком.
Мы строим множество фабрик и заводов, которые выделяют отраву на весь мир. Мы ленимся двигаться, поэтому, покупаем авто, которые отравляют наш мир! Мы уничтожаем озоновый слой в атмосфере, чтобы проводить какие-то эксперименты - и этим отравляем мир! К сожалению, многие наши действия сейчас отравляют наш прекрасный мир.
Существуют, конечно, организации, которые призывают людей остановить загрязнение, не использовать пластик, не убивать животных и так далее. Но все зависит только от нас. Каждый человек должен выбрать, какое будущее он хочет видеть. Будущее без лис и крокодилов, ведь их кожа и меха - это так модно? Будущее с чистой водой, которая стоит дороже слитка золота?
Я хочу свежие фрукты и овощи, чистую воду для каждого, животных и птиц вокруг нас. Я уверена, что будущее поколение поблагодарит нас за светлую и фантастическую жизнь. Так что нужно позаботиться уже сегодня о той жизни, которую хотим иметь завтра. И изменить свои действия, чтобы спасти нашу Землю.
