Сочинение на английском “Я хочу стать юристом” / “I want to be a lawyer”
Lawyers are very important in our society. They help people too assert their rights. And that is exactly what I want to do in future.
It is not easy to be a lawyer. This job is very demanding. It is necessary to keep in mind a lot of information, prepare documents thoroughly and it might be stressful to work in a court.
Still this profession attracts me. I don’t mind formalities or protocols, I like an order. I am not a shy person, I can make a speech in front of the audience.
Lawyers work not only in law firms and prosecutor's office. They are also in demand in commercial companies and real estate agencies. They draw up contracts, check correctness of transactions, help to resolve disputed issues.
I like films and books about lawyers, like “The Firm” by John Grisham. Such stories make me think about the ethical aspect of the profession. A lawyer has to defend his client’s interests whatever they are. Sometimes a lawyer may feel that he is on the wrong side, but can’t drop the case. I think a lot about it.
I hope I will be able to find a job, where I will really help people and serve justice.
Юристы очень важны в нашем обществе. Они помогают людям отстаивать свои права. И это именно то, что я хочу делать в будущем.
Быть юристом нелегко. Эта работа требует большой отдачи. Необходимо помнить большой объем информации, тщательно готовить документы, и работа в суде очень напряженная.
И все же эта профессия меня привлекает. Я не против формальностей и протоколов, я люблю порядок. Я не застенчивый человек, я могу выступать перед аудиторией.
Юристы работают не только в юридических фирмах и прокуратуре. Они также востребованы в коммерческих компаниях и агентствах недвижимости. Они составляют договоры, проверяют чистоту сделок, помогают решать спорные вопросы.
Мне нравятся фильмы и книги об адвокатах, такие как “Фирма” Джона Гришэма. Такие истории заставляют задуматься об этическом аспекте профессии. Юрист должен защищать интересы своего клиента, каковы бы они ни были. Иногда адвокат чувствует, что защищает не ту сторону, но не может отказаться от дела. Я много об этом думаю.
Надеюсь, я смогу найти работу, где буду действительно помогать людям и служить правосудию.
Attorneys-at-law are persons who are licensed to practice law within a given geographical jurisdiction. The types of legal services provided by an attorney may vary, with many attorneys choosing to focus his or her practice on a particular portion of law. Still, there are some basic functions that help to define lawyers no matter which type of law practice they choose to embrace. Here are a few of the actions that all attorneys utilize in their practice of law.
One of the primary responsibilities of an attorney is to act as the advocate for the client. This involves providing legal counsel that will help serve the best interests of any person or entity that engages legal services. At the same time, the aim of the attorney is to present the case of the client to the legal system in such a way that the best possible resolution available under the law is reached. This dual purpose is best served by an attorney who obtains full disclosure from the client, and couples that with a strong working knowledge of the law. When these two elements are combined, the chances for equity and justice to emerge are greatly enhanced.
The attorney is often expected to excel in a given area of the law. For example, an attorney may choose to focus on criminal law, while another attorney chooses to build a practice around family law. This degree of specialization helps to make it easy for clients to find the laywers who have a solid knowledge that will prove helpful with a given set of circumstances. While countries such as the United States tend to classify all practitioners of law under the title of attorney, some countries have developed a tradition of creating titles that help to identify the area of expertise. The use of the terms of barrister and solicitor in the United Kingdom is one example of designation based on function.
In many situations, the work of an attorney has to do with helping to arrange the affairs of private citizens. Persons go to an attorney to create a will, and often rely on the attorney to make sure the will is probated at the proper time. An attorney is also often required to make temporary arrangements, such as creating powers of attorney, establishing a bankruptcy for a client, or creating a trust fund for a loved one.
An attorney may be called upon to draft business contracts, rental contracts, or employee contracts for businesses. In the event of the sale or merger of a company, the attorney will be on hand to draft documents required to acknowledge the sale and complete the transfer of assets in an orderly fashion. The attorney will ensure that all things are done in a manner that fully complies with the laws that govern the transactions, so there is no question about the legality of the actions.
In short, the work of the attorney can be summed up as making sure that any and all transactions, whether personal or business related, are conducted in a manner that is in full agreement with the laws of the land, and can be considered proper and binding. All the while, the attorney works to ensure that the best interests of the client, and the letter and intent of the law, are observed and respected.
There are many good professions today. All pupils have to choose what they want to do in future and of course it’s not an easy choice.
I have already decided what I would like to do and for me it’s a perfect profession.
I think my vocation is to be a lawyer. I think it’s very difficult, interesting and challenging profession. You have to be smart, intelligent and persistent person. To get this profession I need to study at university for 5 years. Later on i need a lot of practice to get enough experience.
For me it’s important to be a good lawyer. Unfortunately today many teenagers want to become a lawyer, but later on they leave this idea. All the subjects are pretty difficult and you have to study days and nights.
I have been studying already for 3 years. In future I have to pass some extra exams and to be good in Russian language, history and social science. Of course at the university I will have 20 other subjects and I am ready for this challenge.
In future I see I will be a good and professional lawyer. Some of my relatives have this job and I know what I am talking about. It’s good and important to know laws and rights.
Sometimes I watch different movies and programs about lawyers, judges and court. Especially I am curious about rights of a person. I am sure I will be an advocate but if to believe statistics many students want to be prosecutors. Anyway I see my life clear. The only thing is now I need to pass all the exams well and be strong. The changes are never easy. But I know what I want and my future profession will surely make me happy. There are some disadvantages in this profession but I think any job has bad things. I can talk about my future plans forever but I have to study to make my dreams to come true.
Моя будущая профессия - юрист
Сегодня есть множество хороших профессий. Все ученики должны решить, что они хотят делать в будущем, и конечно, это далеко не лёгкий выбор.
Я для себя уже решила, чем бы я хотела заняться в будущем и для меня это будет идеальная профессия.
Я считаю мое призвание быть юристом. Я думаю, что это очень трудная, интересная и проблемная профессия. Тебе нужно быть крайне разумным, смышлёным и настойчивым человеком. Чтобы получить эту профессию, мне потребуется учиться в университете 5 лет. А потом нужно будет пройти практику, чтобы получить необходимый опыт.
Лично для меня важно быть хорошим юристом. К сожалению, сегодня многие подростки хотят стать юристами, но потом ребята оставляют эту идею. Все предметы достаточно сложные и надо будет учиться днём и ночью. Я учу необходимые предметы уже на протяжении 3 лет. В будущем мне нужно сдать дополнительные экзамены и быть готовой по русскому языку, истории и обществознанию. Конечно, в университете у меня будет ещё 20 предметов, но я готова к вызову.
В будущем я вижу себя хорошим и профессиональным юристом. Некоторые мои родственники работают юристами и точно знаю, о чем говорю. Мне кажется, важно знать сегодня законы и права.
Порой я смотрю разные фильмы и программы о юристах, судьях и о судебном процессе. Особенно мне хочется узнать о правах человека. Я уверена, что стану адвокатом. Но если верить статистике, многие студенты меняют решение и становятся прокурорами. В любом случае я чётко вижу свою жизнь. Единственное что сейчас мне нужно, так это сдать школьные экзамены и быть сильной. Перемены никогда не бывают лёгкими. Но я точно знаю, что хочу, и моя жизнь обязательно будет счастливой.
Есть много недостатков тоже в этой профессии, но у любой работы они есть. Я могу бесконечно рассказывать о своих будущих планах, но лучше я буду работать над реализацией своей мечты.
I originally became interested in the law during my 9th form when I realised that my skills as a writer, speaker, and leader — as well as my powers of logic — would probably serve me well in a legal career. That is why I entered an optional class where I could have lessons on law twice a week.
All that I have done and experienced in my studying of the basic aspects of the law has further stimulated and reinforced my interest in the law, especially international obligations and public law, and my determination to pursue a legal career.
Studying to be a lawyer represents the fulfilment of one of my longest held dreams.
Whatever I could do as a lawyer to help people who are victimised by unscrupulous businessmen, as well as their own ignorance of the law, would give me a great satisfaction.
The duty of the lawyer is not only to punish people for various crimes: from espionage to serial murder and terrorism, but they must do their best to prevent crimes, to fight against evil in our society.
They should help those people, who committed an error (broke the law) to find the right road in their life. The lawyers protect the rights and legal interests of citizens, institutions and organisations. I want to help people, businesses to solve their problems, I want to help everybody to know the rules that we all have to get along.
I think that the profession of a lawyer is one of the most important in the law-governed state, which we are creating now.
О моей карьере (карьера юриста)
Сначала я заинтересовался юриспруденцией в 9-ом классе, когда я понял, что мои навыки как писателя, оратора, и лидера — а также владение логикой — вероятно, пригодятся мне в юридической карьере. Именно поэтому я стал ходить на факультативные занятия по праву два раза в неделю.
Все мои наработки и приобретение опыта в изучении базисных аспектов юриспруденции далее стимулировали и укрепили мой интерес к правоведению, особенно международные обязательства и общественное право, и мое намерение получить профессию юриста.
Учеба на юриста — это выполнение одного из моих самых давних замыслов.
Чтобы я ни сделал как юрист, чтобы помочь людям, которые стали жертвой неразборчивых в средствах бизнесменов, также как и своего собственного незнания закона, все это доставит мне большое удовлетворение.
Долг юристов — не только наказывать людей за различные преступления: от шпионажа до серийного убийства и терроризма, но и стараться предотвращать преступления, бороться против зла в нашем обществе.
Они должны помочь тем людям, которые совершили ошибку (нарушили закон) найти правильную дорогу в жизни. Юристы защищают права и законные интересы граждан, учреждений и организаций. Я хочу помочь людям, предпринимателям решать их проблемы, я хочу помочь каждому знать правила, по которым все мы должны жить.
Я думаю, что профессия юриста — одна из наиболее важных в правовом государстве, которое мы создаем теперь.
