Тип урока: урок обобщения и систематизации знаний, умений и навыков.

Вид урока: урок-совершенствование.

Задачи урока:

Практические:

  • расширять знания учащихся по использованию грамматических явлений (предлоги и распространенные сочетания с предлогами);
  • отрабатывать умение употреблять пройденные грамматические конструкции в зависимости от ситуации общения;
  • развивать навыки лексической сочетаемости слов, языковую догадку, распознавать и понимать однокоренные слова и интернациональные слова;
  • развивать умение логично и последовательно высказываться, аргументировать собственное мнение.

Развивающие:

  • создать условия для развития таких аналитических способностей учащихся, как умение анализировать, сопоставлять, формулировать выводы;
  • способствовать осознанию важности умения выражать свои мысли на иностранном языке;

Воспитательные:

  • способствовать развитию умения аргументировать свою точку зрения;
  • уважать мнение одноклассников

Раздаточный материал: лексическое задание на развитие языковой догадки и семантизации лексики, образец-опора для составления собственных высказываний.

На уроке применялись технологии: технология объяснтельно-иллюстративного обучения, технология личностно-ориентированного обучения, технология развивающего обучения, коммуникативная технология, здоровьесберегающая технология, технология мотивированного обучения.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент и приветствие (1 мин.)

T: Good morning my dear friends! Nice to see you again! How are you getting on today?

P: Fine, thanks. And you?

T: Well enough, as you see. The weather is so wonderful today! Besides I’ve bought a new mobile telephone recently which is (as you know) very helpful nowadays.

T: Yes, you’ve already guessed that today we’ll go on talking about means of communication. Nowadays we can’t do anything without computers, telephones and the Internet. And today you’ll have a good chance to make your own opinion about it.

b) to communicate with my friends, to relax, to receive important (useful) information, to gossip, to use the Internet, to phone for an ambulance(police), etc;

c) a waste of time, to have no time to do homework (to read, to help parents, to go in for sports, to visit friends and relatives, can’t see the eyes of the person you’re speaking to, etc.

P1: As for me the Internet helps me in my studies. I can find the necessary information on the Internet and then use it in my work.

P2: In my opinion computers are a waste of time. Children sit in front of them for hours. It’s bad for their vision.

IV. Reading. Means of Communication

People use various means of communication to get from one place to another. In the old days people had to travel several days, weeks and months to get to the place they needed. They either went on foot, by coaches driven by horses or on horseback or by. boats and ships. Then trams, cars, buses, planes, underground and other means appeared.

Many people like to travel by air as it is the fastest way of traveling. A lot of people like to travel by train because they can look at passing villages, forests and fields through windows. Some people like to travel by car. There they can go as slowly or as fast as they like. They can stop when and where they want.

People who live in big cities use various means of communication to get from one place to another. Londoners use the underground railway. They call it "the tube". London's underground is the oldest in the world. It was opened in 1863. There was one route at that time, four miles long. Now London's underground has 277 stations and it is 244 miles long. Londoners use buses. The first bus route was opened in London in 1904 Today there are hundreds of routes there. The interesting thing is that some of the routes are the same as many years ago.

London's buses are double-decked buses. Londoners do not use trams, though London was the first city where trams appeared. And now it is one of the biggest cities in the world where there are no trams. The last tram left the streets of London many years ago. Londoners use cars. One can see a lot of cars in London streets. When Londoners leave the town, they use trains, ships or planes.

We see that the least popular means of communication is TV. Let’s start with it. You will work in teams and we’ll have debates. One team should prove that television has only pluses, the other team vice versa, should prove that TV is our foe.
