New year in Japan is one of the main holidays, during it the results of last year are summed up, repay debts, make plans. Start preparing for it long before the holiday. At the beginning of December on streets of the cities it is possible to see Santa Klausov, festively decorated Christmas tree, the new kimonos, different flowers for all family members are sewed. The period of New year in Japan call "gold week". Establishments and firms stop working, as a rule, after December 28. The governmental organizations get down to work on January 4-5. Large department stores don't work the first three days, but some are open already on January 2. Banks work till 12 o'clock on December 31 and the first three days of new year have a rest.

Мой дом
Я хотел бы рассказать о доме, в котором я живу со своими родителями. Это современное двенадцатиэтажное здание. Наша квартира находится на верхнем этаже, потому мы пользуемся лифтом. Должен сказать, наша квартира довольно просторная, но в тоже время уютная.
Описание дома
В ней три комнаты, кухня и ванная. Гостиная – самая большая комната в квартире. Там есть диван, стенка и два больших удобных кресла. Между креслами стоит журнальный столик. На полу лежит мягкий ковер. В гостиной собирается семья и друзья. Там мы обычно смотрим телевизор, играем или просто болтаем и отдыхаем.
Комната моих родителей
Комната моих родителей гораздо меньше. В комнате есть двуспальная кровать с прикроватными тумбочками и платяной шкаф. А, и конечно мамин туалетный столик с зеркалом. Там мама каждое утро наносит макияж и одевается.
Моя комната
Должен сказать, мне повезло, что у меня есть своя комната. Самые важные для меня вещи – компьютер и DVD-плейер, которыми я пользуюсь чаще всего. В комнате также есть кровать, шкаф с одеждой и книжный шкаф, где я храню свои учебники и прочие важные для меня вещи.
Наша кухня
Пришло время описать кухню. Эта комната очень светлая и уютная. В ней есть большой обеденный стол, за которым мы часто встречаемся за завтраком и ужином. В кухне есть телевизор, поэтому это настоящая комната.
Удобства
В нашей квартире есть все удобства как то газ, центральное отопление, горячая и холодная вода. У нас также есть вся необходимая бытовая техника: микроволновая печь, стиральная машина, пылесос и прочие.

My home
I would like to tell you about the house where I live together with m y family. It’s a modern building and it is twelve storeys high. Our apartment is on the top floor, so we use an elevator to get there. I should say that the apartment is quite spacious but at the same time cosy.
Describing my home
The flat has got three rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. The living-room is the largest one with a sofa, wall units and two big comfortable armchairs in it. There is also a small coffee table between the armchairs. The floor is covered with a soft carpet. It’s the room where our family and friends get together. We usually watch TV there, play games or just chat and rest.
My parents’ bedroom
My parents’ bedroom is much smaller. There is a double bed with bedside cabinets and a wardrobe in the room. And, surely, it’s important to mention a dressing table with a mirror where my mom spends some time every morning putting make up and getting dressed.
My room
I must say I’m lucky to have my own room. The most necessary things for me there are my computer and DVD-player which I use most. There is also a bed, a wardrobe and a bookcase where I keep my textbooks and other important stuff.
Kitchen
The last place to describe is the kitchen. It’s very light and comfortable with a beautiful dining set in it. We meet there quite often when having breakfast or dinner. We’ve got a TV in the kitchen, so it’s like a real room.
Conveniences
We have all modern conveniences in our apartment such as gas, central heating, hot and cold running water. We also have modern electric appliances: a microwave, a washing machine, a vacuum-cleaner and others.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I want to say that I adore my apartment. Wherever you are it’s always pleasant to come back home where you can feel the atmosphere of love, friendship and understanding. That is why my home is my castle.

Nowadays living abroad has become really popular. It is much easier to cross the boarders and settle in another country. Many people choose to immigrate. Others find it unpromising and hopeless.
To my mind, moving abroad seems to be really tough experience. First of all, communication can be difficult since it takes place in a foreign language. This might cause misunderstanding in daily life, while making purchases or visiting a doctor. Moreover, immigrants may have some difficulties in finding well-paid jobs. They have to confirm a degree and improve their language skills. As a result, lots of services do not seem affordable for them.
However, there are some people who are in favour of idea of moving abroad. They claim that it allows people to experience a new culture.
They broaden their mind and establish new friendships. This way their lives become more exciting.
Nevertheless, I do not agree with the above opinion. Most immigrants feel isolated, as their friends and family are not close to them and cannot offer support.
В наши дни жизнь за границей стала по-настоящему популярной. Гораздо проще пересечь границы и поселиться в другой стране. Многие люди предпочитают иммигрировать. Другие считают это бесперспективным и безнадежным.
На мой взгляд, переезд за границу кажется очень сложным опытом. Прежде всего, общение может быть затруднено, поскольку оно происходит на иностранном языке. Это может привести к недоразумениям в повседневной жизни, при совершении покупок или посещении врача. Кроме того, у иммигрантов могут возникнуть некоторые трудности с поиском хорошо оплачиваемой работы. Они должны подтвердить степень и улучшить свои языковые навыки. В результате многие услуги не кажутся им доступными.
Однако есть люди, которые поддерживают идею переезда за границу. Они утверждают, что это позволяет людям испытать новую культуру. Они расширяют кругозор и заводят новых друзей. Таким образом, их жизнь становится более захватывающей.
Тем не менее, я не согласен с вышеуказанным мнением. Большинство иммигрантов чувствуют себя изолированными, так как их друзья и семья не находятся рядом с ними и не могут предложить поддержку.

1) В первом абзаце следовало бы уточнить содержание второго предложения и показать, что пересекать границы легче именно в сравнении с прошлым.
2) Из-за некорректно использованного слова immigrate несколько искажается смысл первого абзаца.
3) Разговорное выражение lots of нарушает нейтральный стиль эссе.
