Public transportation benefits individual riders, their communities, the economy and the environment. Individuals who regularly use public transportation enjoy a number of benefits, not the least of which is financial. In difficult economic times, choosing public transportation can be a great way to save money and stretch the family budget. Using public transportation also creates a healthier, more active lifestyle for individuals. Walking to and from public transit stops allows people to gain additional daily exercise. Public transportation also increases mobility options for non-drivers, especially senior citizens. Using public transportation can cut down on commute times, lightening people's schedules and affording them more spare time. Public transportation benefits the communities that it services. For starters, public transportation provides easy and convenient access to all that a city has to offer. In large cities where parking expenses are high, public transportation allows individuals to visit local businesses and attractions more frequently for less money. In rural areas, public transportation fosters the growth of business districts and shopping malls. It also encourages more interaction between residents, which results in a stronger, more unified community. Public transportation helps communities financially -- if individuals can save money on transportation, they can spend more at local stores. The growing popularity and use of public transportation makes a lasting, positive impact on the environment. Public transportation also emits 95 percent less carbon monoxide per mile than a private vehicle, resulting in less pollution and better air quality.
Nowadays, public transport is an integral part of our lives. As we constantly have to pay for the tickets, some people suppose that using public transport should be without charge.
From my point of view, public transport should be paid by govenment. First of all, if public transport is free, it will encourage people not to drive. Thus, there will be less traffic jams. Seconly, some people are unable to make meets end and they cannot afford to buy themselves bus tickets. If a ride on a bus or a trainis gratis, these people will be able to go to another part of the city.
However, not all people share my point of view. Thet say that if a ride on a public transport is without charge, buses and trains will be crowded everytime.
I cannot agree with above-mentioned idea. If the government really want to resolve the problem of urban transportation, they will provide more buses or trains.
To sum up, I would like to say that free public transport can reduce the number of cars near houses and on the parking place. Therefore, it leads to a higher quality of life.
В наши дни, публичный транспорт это важнейшая часть наших жизней. Так как мы обязаны платить за билеты, некоторые люди полагают, что использование общественного транспорта должно быть бесплатным.
С моей точки зрения, общественный транспорт должен оплачиваться государством. Во-первых,если общественный транспорт бесплатный, это побудит людей не водить машины. В следствие чего, будет меньше пробок на дорогах. Во-вторых, некоторые люди не могут свести концы с концами и, не могут позволить себе покупку билета на автобус. Если поездка будет без оплаты, эти люди смогут добраться до другой части города.
Однако не все люди разделяют мою точку зрения. Они говорят, что если поездка на общественном транспорте бесплатная, то автобусы и трамваи будут наполнены людьми постоянно.
Я не могу согласиться с вышеупомянутой идеей. Если государство действительно хочет решить проблему общественного транспорта, они пустят больше трамваев и автобусов.
Подводя итоги, я бы хотел(-а) сказать, что общественный транспорт может сократить число машин возле жилых домов и на местах парковки. В следствие чего, это приведёт к более высокому уровню жизни.

To my mind the best way to travel along the city is to walk. When you go on foot, you do not depend on any kind of transport. You can observe the beauty of the buildings and landscapes wandering along the streets, you can go anywhere you like. These are the advantages. But, of course, the disadvantages of foot walks are the time you spent while walking.
If you are short of time and you are in a hurry, it is better to take advantage of any means of public transport. If you live not far from the underground, I advise you to use this mean of transport. First of all it's the fastest. Underground trains run every 3 to 5 minutes. It is also the most reliable type of transport.
With trams, trolley-buses and buses, there are lots of things that may interfere with their normal operations. But all years I have been travelling by underground it has never let me down.
As for the fare, its a little more expensive than trams and trolley-buses but cheaper than most buses and shuttle minibuses (route taxis). The only problem with the underground that it does not cover the whole city. But every metro station has good trolley-bus, bus and shuttle minibus connections.
You can also travel along the city by car if you have one. But the traffic in the city is very heavy, especially during the day time. There are a lot of traffic jams on the roads, so maybe it is more convenient to go by underground.
If you want to reach the place of destination without any problems and in a short period of time you can order a taxi by telephone. But bear in mind that it can be rather expensive. I wish you to have a good time and nice impressions of the city.

Bicycle is popular among young people. They use it during the warm seasons to travel around the city or the nearby places. It’s healthy and affordable for most of people.
Train is popular for its low cost and cozy atmosphere. You can make a long travel on the train and don’t need to pay a lot for it.
Planе is popular for its speed but the cost is quite high. It is thought to be the safest means of transport among all. The most luxurious means of transport is a ship. I mean not those small ordinary ships, but the ones that travel across the oceans with thousands of tourists. They are often called liners.
So we just need to pick up the one we like and completely enjoy it.
