We live on the second floor, so usually we do not use the elevator. There are four rooms in the apartment – my parents’ room, my little brother’s room, the room where I live, and the living room. There are also, of course, a cozy kitchen and a bathroom.
The kitchen is small, but, as I said before, quite cozy. There is a stove, fridge, kettle, microwave, table and chairs there. We also have a lot of kitchen utensils such as knives, ladles and so on. There is my mom’s portrait hanging on the wall. The portrait is very good, my father drew it many years ago when they met.
The biggest room in the apartment is the living room. This is where we watch TV in the evening, my little brother plays videogames there. My parents’ room is also big, and they have their own TV. If my brother or I, want to watch something they do not watch, they might let us use the living room TV and watch their favorite show in their room. They love police procedurals, I like fantasy series, and my brother likes cartoons. My brother has a small room. There is a big closet full of toys and Lego there. My room is not big either, I have a computer desk. This is where I do my homework.
As for the bathroom, there is not just a toilet and bathtub, there is also a cat litter box there. We have a cat, her name is Lilly, and she does not have a room, because the whole apartment is her room.

Our flat
We live in Kiev in Gorky Street on the seventh floor of a large house with all modern conveniences. Our flat consists of three rooms and a kitchen. We have got electricity, central heating, a gas-cooker, running cold and hot water, a rubbish chute and a telephone.
A living-room is a room for general use during the day. It is a large room with a balcony facing the park. There is a carpet on the floor and lace curtains on the windows. In the middle of the room there is a table with some chairs around it. There is a sofa with two armchairs and a low table with a TV set in one corner.
A piano stands near the wall on the left-hand side of the room.
On the right-hand side of the room there is a cupboard. There are some crystal vases, wineglasses and cups on the shelves. There is a bookcase near the cupboard.

My parents’ bedroom is not very large. There are two beds, a wardrobe and a dressing-table in the bedroom. The bedding consists of a blanket, a pillow with a pillow-case, sheets and a mattress.

My room is very nice. There is a bed and a cot for my little brother. On one side of the window there is a desk (a writing table). I do my lessons at it. On the other side of the window there are some bookshelves.
Our kitchen has got a large built-in cupboard with many shelves. We keep our food-stuffs, saucepans, basins and frying-pans there. A table stands in front of the window. On the left of the table is a refrigerator. On the right is a gas-cooker. A tea-kettle stands on it. There is a little store-room in the hall. A washing-machine, a vacuum cleaner, a floor-polisher stand in it. Our flat is very comfortable and cosy.

Спальня моих родителей не очень большая. В спальне имеются две кровати, шкаф и туалетный столик. Постельное бельё состоит из одеяла, подушки с наволочкой, простыни и матраса.
На туалетном столике можно увидеть гребень, расчёску и пузырёк духов.
Моя комната очень приятная. Там есть кровать и детская кроватка для моего младшего брата. С одной стороны окна стоит парта (письменный стол). Я делаю уроки на нём. С другой стороны окна располагаются книжные полки.
На нашей кухне есть большой встроенный шкаф со множеством полок. Мы храним там наши продукты, кастрюли, тазики и сковородки. Стол стоит перед окном. Слева от стола находится холодильник. Справа — газовая плита. На ней стоит чайник. В зале есть небольшая кладовка. В ней находятся стиральная машина, пылесос, полировочная машина. Наша квартира очень удобная и уютная.
