Good morning, boys and girls and our guests! We are very glad to see you at our game! Today we’ll have an unusual lesson –the competition “Who will be the best”. I want you to know more about our teams. Let’s get introduced with our teams. We have two teams. The competition consists of several tasks. If your answer is correct the team will get one point. If your answer is wrong the second team will be allowed to give the answer. After listening to the question the members of the team can consult with each other.

And now choose name of your teams!

Good morning, children. I’m very glad to see you. How are you?

I’m fine too. Thank you.
Sit down, please. And let’s begin our lesson.

2. Определение темы урока.

Children, look at the posters in our classroom, read their titles and try to guess the theme of our lesson today, please.

You are right. You see the maps of New Zealand, Canada, Australia, the UK, the USA and the flags of these countries. And what language do people speak in these countries?

You are right. They speak English.

And the theme of our lesson is “ENGLISH – SPEAKING COUNTRIES”.
